Abstract: A method for estimating the state of an electrical switching apparatus, the switching apparatus including separable electrical contacts configured to be coupled to an electrical conductor, and an electromagnetic actuator, controlled by a control circuit and including a movable core, coupled to the separable contacts, and a coil, which is passed through by a coil current. The method: includes measuring, by means of sensors associated with the coil, values of the coil current in a time interval, while the electromagnetic actuator is kept in a stable and in particular closed position, and computing, by means of an electronic control device of the switching apparatus, one or more values of a magnetic flux of the coil from the measured coil-current values, and using coil-voltage and coil-resistance values known beforehand.

Abstract: A method of generating a random number for a microcontroller unit, the microcontroller unit using the method, an apparatus including the microcontroller unit are provided. The method includes: reading, from a flash memory of the microcontroller unit, a random number generated the previous time the microcontroller unit was powered on, in response to the microcontroller unit being powered on; acquiring, random information of the microcontroller unit and using the random information as a seed of a random number generation algorithm to generate the random number in a case that the reading fails, and using, the read random number as the seed of the random number generation algorithm to generate the random number in case that the reading succeeds; and writing, the generated random number to the flash memory of the microcontroller unit.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a control method and a control device for an electric switch, and an electric switch. The control method includes: obtaining a voltage signal representing a control voltage, the control voltage input to the electric switch and applied to an electromagnetic assembly of the electric switch via a regulation device of the electric switch; determining, based on the voltage signal obtained, a target control parameter for the electromagnetic assembly, the target control parameter comprising at least one of a target voltage and a target current; and generating, based on the target control parameter determined, a control signal for the regulation device, to cause the electromagnetic assembly to drive a movable contact of the electric switch to contact a static contact of the electric switch. The solution of the present disclosure can effectively reduce wear of contact points of contacts, to thus prolong the service life of the electric switch.

Abstract: An electromagnetic actuator of an electrical contact includes: a stationary portion including at least one coil generating a magnetic field centered on a longitudinal axis; at least one core concentrating magnetic flux, installed within the coil, and including a plate spreading the magnetic flux and defining an active surface perpendicular to the longitudinal axis, and at least one element returning magnetic flux; an armature translationally movable along the longitudinal axis and relative to the stationary portion between first and second positions, by a force induced by the magnetic field; and at least one device returning the armature elastically to a predetermined position of the first position or second position. The spreading plate includes at least one rib closing magnetic field lines between the spreading plate and the armature, protruding relative to the active surface on the armature side and housed on one edge of the spreading plate.

The control circuit comprises: a pulse converter configured to convert a turn-on control signal into a continuous pulse signal; a first controller configured to generate a first breaking control signal at a first time in response to detection of the disappearance of the continuous pulse signal received from the pulse converter; a second controller configured to generate a second breaking control signal at a second time in response to detection of the disappearance of the continuous pulse signal received from the pulse converter, wherein the first time is earlier than the second time; and a coil driver configured to turn off a current of the excitation coil according to the received first breaking control signal, and if the current is not turned off according to the first breaking control signal, to further turn off the current of the excitation coil according to the second breaking control signal, thereby realizing the breaking of the main contact.

The method includes the following successive steps: a step a) of supplying a soft ferromagnetic metal blank part; and a step b) of electroless nickel plating at least one section of the blank part in order to obtain the ferromagnetic part, the section of which is surface coated with a nickel surface layer, with the obtained ferromagnetic part including the soft ferromagnetic metal, which, for at least one electroless nickel plated section, is disposed under the nickel surface layer.
