摘要： A wiping module includes a wiping portion and a cleaning portion. The wiping portion includes a wiping member wiping a liquid discharge head that discharges a liquid from a nozzle provided on a nozzle surface, a storage support portion supporting the wiping member and configured to store the liquid by the wiping, and a movement support portion mounting the storage support portion and configured to reciprocate along a wiping direction, which is a direction in which the wiping is performed. The cleaning portion cleans the wiping member. The cleaning portion includes a cleaning member and a guide portion guiding the cleaning member. The cleaning member is configured to follow a movement of the wiping portion in the wiping direction and to scrape off the liquid adhering to the wiping member while being guided by the guide portion.

摘要： A printer includes a line head, a transport unit, a head moving unit, a maintenance unit, a lid unit, and a rotation mechanism portion. The head moving unit moves the line head to a retreat position and a recording position along a B direction. The maintenance unit includes a cap portion configured to cover the nozzles, is formed with an opening, and is movable in a transport direction of a medium. A lid unit is rotatable about a rotation axis, and closes the opening in a closed posture. When the head moving unit moves the line head from the recording position to the retreat position, the rotation mechanism portion rotates the lid unit so that a posture of the lid unit becomes the closed posture.

摘要： A recording portion has a nozzle surface. A first movement portion moves the recording portion in a first direction intersecting the nozzle surface. A second movement portion moves a first maintenance portion in a second direction along the nozzle surface. The recording portion is movable to a recording position at which recording is performed on a medium, and a first retreated position where the recording portion is retreated from the recording position. The first maintenance portion is movable to a maintenance position at which maintenance of the nozzle surface is performed and a second retreated position retreated from the maintenance position. When an error occurs, a control portion causes the recording portion to retreat away from the first maintenance portion in a first direction. Then, the first maintenance portion is caused to retreat in a second direction.

The wiper unit includes a wiper that wipes a liquid discharge surface of a liquid discharge head from which liquid is to be discharged. The carriage moves along the liquid discharge surface in a first direction and a second direction, both of which are opposite to each other. The fixing member fixes the wiper unit to the carriage.
