Abstract: An object is to suppress reduction of the stability of electrical connection between a liquid ejection apparatus and a liquid supply unit. A liquid supply unit (20) configured to be mountable to a liquid ejection apparatus (50) that has a first electrode (930a) and a second electrode (930b) comprises a first contact portion (cpb) configured to be in contact with the first electrode (930a) in a state that the liquid supply unit (20) is mounted to the liquid ejection apparatus (50); a second contact portion (cpb) configured to be in contact with the second electrode (930b) in the state that the liquid supply unit is mounted to the liquid ejection apparatus (50); and a wall portion (40) configured such that the first contact portion (cpb) and the second contact portion (cpb) are placed therein. The first contact portion (cpb) is placed on a first wall face (S1) of the wall portion (40), and the second contact portion (cpb) is placed on a second wall face (S2) of the wall portion that is on an opposite side to the first wall face (S1).

Abstract: An object is to identify an abnormal mounted state of a liquid supply unit to a liquid ejection apparatus. There is provided a liquid supply unit configured to supply a liquid to a liquid ejection apparatus that comprises a first electrode assembly including a first electrode and a second electrode; an engagement structure; and a mounting structure which the liquid supply unit is mounted to. The liquid supply unit comprises a liquid supply portion; an engaged structure configured to be engaged with the engagement structure in a mounted state and thereby restrict a motion of the liquid supply unit in a first direction that is a direction of dismounting the liquid supply unit; and an electrically conductive portion provided in the engaged structure. The electrically conductive portion is configured to come into contact with the first electrode and the second electrode in an engaged state that the engaged structure is engaged with the engagement structure, so as to provide electrical continuity between the first electrode and the second electrode and cause the liquid ejection apparatus to detect mounting of the liquid supply unit to the liquid ejection apparatus.

Abstract: A further improvement in convenience is desired in conventional liquid ejecting systems. A liquid supplying unit is mountable to a carriage that has a first projection, a second projection and a liquid introduction needle. The unit includes six wall portions. The first wall portion is provided with a liquid supplying portion connectable to a liquid introduction needle, a first recess portion adapted to receive the first projection, and a second recess portion adapted to receive the second projection. In a planar view of the first wall portion, the liquid supplying portion is positioned closer to the fifth wall portion than to the sixth wall portion, and when the first wall portion is equally divided into a first region, a second region and a third region, the first recess portion is positioned in the first region, and the second recess portion is positioned in the third region.
