    摘要: The present invention aims to provide a composition for a lithium secondary battery electrode which is excellent in dispersibility of an active material and adhesiveness, capable of maintaining an appropriate viscosity for a long period of time, and capable of providing a high-capacity lithium secondary battery even when the amount of a binder is small. Provided is a composition for a lithium secondary battery electrode including: an active material; a polyvinyl acetal resin; and an organic solvent, the polyvinyl acetal resin having a structural unit having a hydroxyl group represented by the following formula (1), a structural unit having an acetal group represented by the following formula (2), and a structural unit having a carboxyl group, the polyvinyl acetal resin containing 45 to 95 mol % of the structural unit having a hydroxyl group represented by the following formula (1): where R1 represents a hydrogen atom or a C1-C20 alkyl group.
