摘要: A digital photo frame (DPF) includes a power source, a display panel, a light detector, a motion detector, a processing unit, and a power management unit. The light detector is configured to detect the ambient brightness. The motion detection unit is configured to detect whether anyone is around. The processing unit is connected to the light detector and the motion detector. If the motion detector detects someone is around the DPF and the light detector detects the ambient brightness is below a predetermined value, the processing unit controls the power management unit to provide power to the display panel.

摘要: A digital photo frame (DPF) capable of automatically changing display mode is provided. The DPF includes a display unit, a motion detector, a processing unit, and a storage unit. The motion detector is configured to detect whether there is someone around the DPF, and produce a display switching signal if someone is around the DPF. The processing unit detects current display mode when it receives the display switching signal and change the display mode of the DPF to a slide show mode if current display mode is a still mode. The motion detector also produce a stop signal when it detects nobody around the DPF, the processing unit controls the display unit to display the pictures in the still mode when it receives the stop signal and detects current display mode is the slide show mode.

If the motion detector detects there is someone around the DPF, the processing unit transmits a control signal to the display control unit, and the display control unit control the LED unit to flash in response to the control signal.

摘要: A displaying device includes an input unit, a region defining unit, a content allocating unit, an obtaining unit, a display controlling unit and a display unit. The region defining unit defines regions by incorporating one or more unit regions in each of the regions according to users' selections and generates region defining information. The content allocating unit allocates contents for the regions according to the users' selections and generates content allocating information. The obtaining unit obtains the region defining information, the content allocating information, and contents according to the content allocating information, and then transmits the information and contents to the display controlling unit. The display controlling unit splits a display area of the display unit into the regions defined by the region defining unit and displays the contents in the regions correspondingly according to the content allocating information. Related methods are also provided.

摘要: An IR controlling device includes a display panel, a number of IR emitters, a number of IR receivers, and a receiving controller. The IR emitters and the IR receivers are staggered under the display panel, and facing the display panel. The IR emitters are to emit IR beams in sequence, and the IR receivers are to receive the IR beams reflected by an external object. The receiving controller generates a plurality of response signals corresponding to the IR receivers. An IR processing unit receives the response signals, and determines a virtual position of the external object on the display panel. A controlling unit outputs a control signal and executes a corresponding function. A display processing unit receives the control signal and updates the content on the display panel.

摘要: An electronic device includes a first rechargeable battery, a solar cell mounted on the electronic device, a second rechargeable battery and a power management circuit. The power management circuit includes a control module, a DC/DC module, a switch and a power supply switching module. The DC/DC module is configured for converting the DC power generated by the solar cell from one voltage level to another, and activating and maintaining the activation of the control module. The switch is turned on by the control module when the control module is activated, causing the DC power from the DC/DC module to charge the second rechargeable battery. The power supply switching module is controlled by the control module to select the second rechargeable battery to power the electronic device if the voltage level of the rechargeable battery is lower than that of the second rechargeable battery.
