Abstract:
The invention relates to a container preform made of plastics material having a body exhibiting symmetry of revolution about a central axis and a bottom closing the body from one of its ends. The bottom having an annular bead forming a standing plane of the preform, and the bottom has an external skin oriented toward the outside of the preform and an internal skin oriented toward the inside of the preform. At least one of the internal skin and the external skin has, radially from the central axis as far as the annular bead, a profile having a break in curvature.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a preform for a container made of plastic material, comprising a cylindrical body that extends along an axis of revolution of the preform and a bottom that closes the cylindrical body. The bottom has an outer profile with a central portion and a curved portion joining the central portion to the cylindrical body. The central portion has, in longitudinal cross-section, a first concave section. The curved portion has successively, in longitudinal cross-section, from the first concave section towards the cylindrical body, a first convex or frustoconical section, a second concave section and a second convex or frustoconical section.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a preform for a plastics container, which includes: a rotationally symmetrical body about a central axis; an open neck which extends in continuation of the body from an upper end of the latter; a bottom which closes the body starting from a lower end of the latter, the bottom being rotationally symmetrical about the central axis and having a central concavity and a protruding bulge around this concavity, the bottom having a thickness E, measured from an external face, that is variable in accordance with three different criteria respectively applied to three sections of the bottom, namely a central section [0; S1], an intermediate section [S1; S2] and a peripheral section [S2; L].
Abstract:
Preform (1) made of a plastic material for the manufacturing of a container (2) by blow molding or stretch-blow molding, the preform (1) including a sidewall (20) extending along a main axis (Z), an open neck (4) and a substantially hemispherical closed bottom (21) having a thickness (T) which varies at least locally around the main axis (Z).
Abstract:
Disclosed is a mold for the manufacture, from a blank, of a container having a body and a base provided with a peripheral seat. The mold includes: a wall bearing the impression of the body of the container and provided with an opening; a mold base which is movable relative to the wall between an extended position and a retracted position; the mold base having a peripheral surface which corresponds to a join between the seat and the base of the container and terminates in an edge which is raised with respect to the seat surface. In the extended position of the mold base, the edge extends vertically perpendicular to the opening and, in the retracted position of the mold base, the edge extends near the opening.
Abstract:
A mold for blow molding a container from a preform, the container including a wall portion and a base including a high standing ring and a central outwardly-inclined invertible diaphragm, the mold including sidewalls forming a counter print of the wall portion of the container (1) and a mold base (36) having an upper surface (37) defining a counter print of the container base, wherein the upper surface (37) includes: an annular peripheral face (43) corresponding to an annular support flange of the container base; a frusto-conical outer face (44) corresponding to an inner portion (11) of the high standing ring, the outer face (44) protruding upwardly with a draft angle (A2) from an inner edge of the peripheral annular face (43) up to a sharp apex (45), and a frusto-conical downwardly inclined inner face (46) corresponding to the invertible diaphragm.
Abstract:
A method of manufacturing a hot-fill container (1) by means of blow molding a preform (16) provided with a wall and a closed bottom (19), said method comprising the steps of: heating the preform (16) at a temperature greater than the glass transition temperature of the plastic; introducing the such heated preform (16) within a mold (32) provided with a mold base (36) and sidewalls (34A, 34B), which sidewalls are heated at a predetermined temperature; blow molding the preform (16) to form the container (1) for subsequent hot-fill applications; wherein: the wall of said preform (16) has a lower end segment (24) of increased thickness and the bottom (19) has a thickness lower than the lower end segment (24), the preform (16) is subjected to a length stretch ratio comprised between 3.4 and 3.9, and a hoop stretch ratio comprised between 3.5 and 3.9.
