    Abstract: Disclosed is a container made of a plastic material, provided with a base including a standing ring forming a support flange and a diaphragm extending from the standing ring to a central portion, the diaphragm being capable of standing in an outwardly-inclined position. The diaphragm connects to the standing ring at an outer junction forming an outer articulation of the diaphragm. The diaphragm connects to the central portion at an inner junction forming an inner articulation of the diaphragm. The diaphragm is invertible with respect to the standing ring from the outwardly-inclined position to an inwardly-inclined position. In the outwardly-inclined position, the diaphragm has an outer curved portion and an inner curved portion of opposite curvatures.

    Abstract: A method for forming, in an inversion device, a base of a filled and sealed plastic container, comprising a step of inverting a diaphragm situated at the center of the base of the container and surrounded by a standing ring forming a standing surface. During the step, two opposing pushing members are set in relative motion with respect to one another so as to come into contact with and press on two longitudinally opposed regions of the container.     Abstract: The invention relates to a method for inverting the diaphragm of a filled and capped container. According to the invention, the container is placed on a support ring of an inversion device, a pressing member is applied to the container and a pusher is raised through the support ring to invert the diaphragm and shape the diaphragm into an arch. While the pusher inverts the diaphragm, the seat is moved away from the upper plane of the support ring, so that when the pusher reaches the raised position, a space is opened between the seat and the support ring to enable a longitudinal expansion of the container under the combined effect of the increase in internal pressure caused by the decrease in the volume due to the inversion and the forces generated inside the container by the pusher and the support member.

In the outwardly-inclined position, the whole diaphragm is curved in radial section, with a concavity turned inwards with respect to the container. The diaphragm has a depth strictly greater than 1 mm.
