    摘要: A method of specifying a lighting effect to be emitted by an illumination source in order to illuminate a target object. The method comprises: placing a camera at a position at which the illumination source is installed or to be installed, or elsewhere on a straight line between that position and the target object; directing the camera along this line toward the target object; with the camera so placed and directed, using the camera to capture at least one image of the target object; automatically determining one or more parameters of the target object based on the at least one captured image; automatically specifying one or more properties for the lighting effect in dependence on the one or more parameters of the target object as determined based on the at least one captured image; and instigating creation of the lighting effect to include the one or more specified properties.

    摘要: Each of a plurality of lighting nodes in a linear array is connected at different respective positions along a flexible, rigid or malleable continuous supporting line. One or more attachable dividers are provided, configured to be mechanically attachable by a user onto the line without severing the line, or at least without completely severing the line, each between a respective neighbouring pair of the lighting nodes. Each of the attachable dividers is configured so as, when attached to the line, to enable detection of a position at which the divider is connected along the line relative to the lighting nodes, and configured to provide information related to said position to the controller, thus dividing the lighting nodes into different segments along the line. A controller is configured to apply a different lighting effect to the illumination emitted by the lighting nodes in each of some or all of the different segments.
