    摘要: In a magnetic recording and reproducing apparatus in which first and second signals, such as, the chrominance and luminance signals of a color television signal, are recorded by first and second magnetic heads in respective first and second tracks traced thereby on a magnetic recording tape, the first and second tracks are made to overlap, at least partly, so as to increase the utilization of the tape, and the signals to be recorded are given substantially different frequencies to permit their reproduction without interference from each other. In order to further avoid interference between the signals recorded in the overlapped tracks, the core gap of the head for recording and reproducing the relatively low frequency signal is made wider than the core gap of the other head, and the latter core gap extends transversely at right angles to the longitudinal direction of its respective track while the relatively wide core gap extends obliquely with respect to its track.

    摘要: A plurality of fingers which are movable longitudinally and rotatably are mounted on a video tape recorder housing. The fingers grasp the portion of magnetic tape which is between the ends of supply and take-up reels and form this portion of the tape into a loop. The loop is automatically drawn over the circumference of a record/playback head and is automatically removed therefrom without the operator touching the tape. Provision is also made to preclude the inadvertent removal of the tape during a play or record cycle.

    摘要: Video signals are recorded in successive record tracks on a record sheet without guard bands or spaces between adjacent tracks so as to enhance the utilization of the record sheet, and interference between the signals recorded in adjacent tracks is avoided during reproduction thereof by recording such video signals in adjacent tracks with their respective synchronizing signals aligned in the direction at right angles to the length of the tracks and further with carrier components of the signals recorded in the adjacent tracks being of the same frequency and having the same phase relation to the effective scanning direction during recording. During reproduction of the signals thus recorded, non-interfering signals recorded in two or more adjacent tracks are simultaneously reproduced, for example, as by a reproducing magnetic head having a gap width substantially greater than the pitch of the successive tracks in which the signals are magnetically recorded, so as to enhance the resolution and S/N ratio of the reproduced signals and further to avoid the necessity of a servo tracking arrangement.
