    摘要: There is provided an image processing apparatus and an image processing method in which S/N can be improved. A class tap selection unit configures a class tap by selecting a pixel that is a class tap used in class classification of classifying a pixel to be processed of a first image obtained by adding a residual error of prediction encoding and a prediction image together, into any one class of a plurality of classes, from the first image. A class classification unit performs the class classification of the pixel to be processed by using the class tap, and a filter processing unit performs filter processing corresponding to class of the pixel to be processed, with respect to the first image, to generate a second image used in prediction of the prediction image. The class tap selection unit updates a tap structure of the class tap to a selected tap structure.

The method selects between a first clustering process and a second clustering process based on whether at least one condition is satisfied. If the first clustering process is selected, the first clustering process is performed on a first plurality of images to obtain a first clustering result. The first clustering process uses first coordinate axes that were used in a previous clustering process. If the second clustering process is selected, the second clustering process is performed on a second plurality of images to obtain a second clustering result, wherein the second clustering process uses second coordinate axes different from the first coordinate axes used in the previous clustering process. Some embodiments are directed to an apparatus capable of performing the above method. Some embodiments are directed to a computer-readable storage medium comprising computer-executable instructions that, when executed, perform the above method.

    摘要: The present technology relates to an encoding device, an encoding method, a decoding device, and a decoding method that make it possible to accurately restore an image. The encoding device generates a filter image by performing, on a decoded image locally decoded, filter processing of applying a prediction equation including a second-order or higher higher-order term and performing a product-sum calculation of predetermined tap coefficients and pixels of the decoded image. Moreover, the encoding device encodes an original image by using the filter image. The decoding device decodes coded data included in an encoded bit stream by using a filter image, to generate a decoded image. Moreover, the decoding device generates the filter image by performing, on the decoded image, filter processing of applying a prediction equation. The present technology can be applied to a case where encoding and decoding of an image are performed.

With respect to a detection result of a correspondence point between an imaged image including a pattern irradiated for alignment with other imaged image, and the other imaged image including the pattern, an evaluation value with which an occurrence rate of an error in the alignment when the imaged image and the other imaged image are composed with each other is evaluated is calculated; and an irradiated position of the pattern is updated on the basis of the evaluation value calculated. The present disclosure, for example, can be applied to an information processing apparatus, an irradiation device, an imaging apparatus, an irradiation imaging apparatus, a controller, an imaging system or the like.
