    Abstract: A device and a method for performing AR image display control in which flicker in a boundary region between a virtual object and a real object is not noticeable are provided. A real object detection unit that executes processing of detecting a real object in a real world, and an augmented reality (AR) image display control unit that generates an AR image visually recognized in such a manner that a virtual object exists in a same space as a real object and outputs the AR image to a display unit are included, in which the AR image display control unit, in a case where a position of the real object detected by the real object detection unit is on a near side in a depth direction with respect to a position where the virtual object to be displayed on the display unit is arranged, an additional virtual object is output to the display unit on the near side in the depth direction with respect to the position of the real object in such a manner as to hide at least a partial region of a boundary region between the virtual object and the real object.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an information processing device, an information processing method, and a program capable of curbing occurrence of a feeling of strangeness in augmented reality in a use environment for a plurality of people.
    Position information indicating the self position of an AR device that outputs an AR object that is shown to the user as if the AR object existed in real space is acquired by the AR technology, and a deviation weight which is an evaluation value indicating how easily a plurality of users recognizes that an arrangement position of the AR object is deviated from each other on the basis of position information of a plurality of the AR devices and the arrangement position of the AR object. Then, the output method of the AR object is adjusted according to the deviation weight to make it difficult to recognize occurrence of the deviation. The present technology can be applied to an AR system used by a plurality of people, for example.

    Abstract: The present technology relates to an information processing device, method, and program capable of more easily displaying an AR object at an accurate position.
    The information processing device includes: a first self-position estimation unit that performs a first self-position estimation on the basis of an environment image whose subjects are surroundings of the information processing device; and a second self-position estimation unit that performs a second self-position estimation on the basis of a detection plane detected from the environment image and object information generated in advance and related to a shielding AR object having a planar shape to correct a display position of a non-shielding AR object according to a result of the first self-position estimation on the basis of a result of the second self-position estimation. The present technology can be applied to an AR device.
