Abstract:
Heated gases, such as exhaust gases from an engine, and liquid waste materials are mixed in a container with the hot gases vaporizing the liquid. Cyclonic movement of the gases separates unvaporized liquid droplets from the gas and prevents escape of any liquid from the container. The mixed vapors and gases leave the container through a common outlet. The container may also include means for condensing and separating pollutants such as oil from the gases.
Abstract:
A control device responsive to liquid level in a receptacle includes first and second reciprocating pumps. The first pump has an inlet communicating with a receptacle at a predetermined level. When liquid in the receptacle reaches the predetermined level, liquid is drawn into the first pump. The first pump communicates through a passageway with the chamber of the second pump. Liquid drawn into the first pump is expelled through the passageway and into the chamber of the second pump. The presence of liquid in the chamber of the second pump prevents full stroke operation of the second pump so that a control means connected with the reciprocating arm of the second pump is rendered inoperative when liquid is supplied to the chamber of the second pump.
Abstract:
A decorative trim strip is provided comprised of a vinyl plastic body portion having an outer surface covered by a film of metallized polyethylene terephthalate which is adhered to the body portion with the metallized surface facing the outer surface of the body portion. The polyethylene terephthalate is transparent, whereby the metal layer is visible therethrough. The metallized film has edge portions and an intermediate portion therebetween. Only the edge portions of the film are adhered to the outer surface of the body portion. Various structures are provided for inhibiting a bond between the intermediate portion of the metallized face of the polyethylene terephthalate and the outer surface of the vinyl body portion.
