    Abstract: An anode for a lithium secondary battery, including: a cladding material obtained by bonding an anode active material layer and a current collector layer to each other, in which the anode active material layer contains aluminum, the current collector layer is made of a metal foil, and the anode active material layer satisfies (1) and (2) in which (1): an average voltage of a lithium alloying reaction in the anode active material layer measured using lithium metal as a counter electrode of the anode active material layer is 0.05 V or more, and (2): the average voltage of the lithium alloying reaction in the anode active material layer measured using lithium metal as the counter electrode of the anode active material layer is higher than an average voltage of a lithium alloying reaction in the current collector layer, and a difference in the average voltage of the lithium alloying reaction between the anode active material layer and the current collector layer is 0.05 V or more and 0.5 V or less.

    Abstract: A lithium secondary battery includes: a metal anode capable of being doped and dedoped with lithium ions; a cathode capable of being doped and dedoped with the lithium ions; and an electrolyte disposed between the metal anode and the cathode, in which the metal anode has a plate shape, and is composed of lithium and a base material in which the lithium is solid-dissolved, the metal anode in a discharged state has a layer of a substitutional solid solution, the substitutional solid solution has a structure in which a part of a crystal lattice of a metal constituting the base material is substituted with the lithium, and the layer is located on a surface of the metal anode opposite to a surface facing the cathode or inside the metal anode.

    Abstract: Provided is a method of manufacturing a lithium secondary battery including an aluminum anode configured to occlude and release lithium ions, a cathode configured to occlude and release lithium ions, and an electrolyte, the aluminum anode being formed of an aluminum-containing metal, the method including: a step of assembling the lithium secondary battery; a step of charging the assembled lithium secondary battery; a step of storing the lithium secondary battery for at least 4 hours after the charging; and a step of inspecting a capacity of the lithium secondary battery after the step of storing.
