Abstract:
A curable coating composition comprising an acrylic polymer having an epoxide equivalent weight from about 150 to about 1500, a compound having acid and carbamate groups, and an aminoplast crosslinker may be applied to a substrate and cured at a temperature at which both acid and carbamate groups of the compound react. The composition may further contain a blocked polyisocyanate crosslinker to react with hydroxyl groups on the polymer and/or formed by reaction of epoxide with carboxylic acid groups.
Abstract:
A plastic glazing for use in an automobile. The glazing includes a polycarbonate substrate, a conductive layer located adjacent to the polycarbonate substrate, and a glazing layer located adjacent to the conductive layer. The conductive layer comprises carbon nanotubes, and the glazing layer is made of a material that is different from polycarbonate. The glazing layer includes at least one of an abrasion resistant layer and a weathering layer.
