Abstract: A display driver includes a driver circuit and a sensing controller. The driver circuit is configured to drive a display panel according to display information. The display panel defines a sensing region. The sensing controller interface circuit is configured to transmit an output vertical sync signal to a proximity sensing controller. The proximity sensing controller is configured to generate positional information of an input object based at least in part on a resulting signal received from a sensor electrode disposed in the sensing region. The output vertical sync signal comprises encoding the display information in the output vertical sync signal.

Abstract: A display driver includes: a receiver configured to receive image data of each line of a display panel from an external device; a line latch circuit having a line latch configured to latch the image data of each line received by the receiver in response to a strobe signal; a driving circuit section which drives the display panel in response to the image data latched by the line latch; and a timing controller configured to generate the strobe signal. The receiver is configured to detect occurrence of transmission error in data transmission about each line. The timing controller is configured to generate the strobe signal in response to a detection result of the occurrence of transmission error.

Abstract: A display driver includes a GRAM, a data driver, and a control circuit. The data driver is configured to: update, in a first mode, display elements of a display panel based on a command provided to the display driver asynchronously with a display vertical sync signal; update, in a second mode, the display elements based on image data stored in the GRAM in synchronization with the display vertical sync signal; and update, in a third mode, the display elements in synchronization with an external vertical sync signal. The control circuit is configured to: switch the display drive to a second mode in response to a first command; adjust, in the second mode, the display vertical sync signal based on an external vertical sync signal; and switch the display driver to the third mode after achieving synchronization of the display vertical sync signal with the external vertical sync signal.

Abstract: A display driver comprises an interface and signal supply circuitry. The interface is configured to receive image data. The signal supply circuitry is configured to supply at least one drive control signal to a display panel based on a detection of a data error in the image data associated with a first horizontal line in a first vertical sync period, causing a first pixel circuit and a second pixel circuit hold, in the first vertical sync period, first hold voltages based in part on at least one drive control signal and second hold voltages held in a second vertical sync period prior to the first vertical sync period. The first pixel circuit is associated with the first horizontal line, and the second pixel circuit is associated with a second horizontal line and driven after the first pixel circuit.

Abstract: A display driver includes a timing controller and a drive circuit. The timing controller receives an external horizontal sync signal and generates an internal horizontal sync signal based on the external horizontal sync signal. The drive circuit drives a display panel in synchronization with the internal horizontal sync signal. Generating the internal horizontal sync signal includes: generating a first pulse of the internal horizontal sync signal in response to detection of a first pulse of the external horizontal sync signal after a masking period has expired, wherein the masking period starts when a first previous pulse is detected in the external horizontal sync signal; and generating a second pulse of the internal horizontal sync signal in response to detection of a second pulse of the external horizontal sync signal in a non-masking period which starts when a second previous pulse is detected in the external horizontal sync signal.

The proximity sensing circuit configured to receive an indication of a transition from a first image refresh rate to a second image refresh rate, wherein the first image refresh rate is greater than a beacon signal rate and the second image refresh rate is equal to or lower than the beacon signal rate. The proximity sensing panel is also configured to align transmitting a beacon signal on the proximity sensing panel to a non-refresh period corresponding to the second refresh rate.
