摘要: A support arm includes an arm having a proximal arm pivot joint that provides a range of elevational rotation of the arm. The arm further includes a distal component mount. The support arm further includes a biasing device adapted to provide an increasing force with increasing displacement. A flexible element is coupled between the biasing device and the arm with a linkage therebetween. At least a portion of the flexible element forms a segment between the arm and the linkage. The segment is at an angle relative to the arm, and the angle varies during rotation of the arm. An arm end location of the segment is fixed in relation to the arm during rotation of the arm. A linkage end location of the segment changes in relation to the pivot joint during rotation of the arm.

摘要: A mounting system includes a first surface and a second surface. A device panel can include at least first and second engaging members. The first and second surfaces are sized and shaped to engage the first and second engaging members respectively, and the first and second engaging members move along the first and second surfaces. The first and second surfaces are sized and shaped so the reaction forces between the first and second engaging members and the mounting panel cooperate to counteract the moment created by the center of gravity of the device panel to continuously immobilize the device panel at the plurality of angles relative to the support surface.

摘要: A display screen mounting device includes a device panel rotatably coupled to a mounting panel. A first portion of at least one elastic member is coupled to the mounting panel. A first pulley is rotatably coupled substantially adjacent to a second portion of the at least one elastic member, wherein the first pulley is moveable with the second portion of the at least one elastic member, and the flexible element is in rolling communication with the first pulley. In another example, a method for making a display screen tilt device includes rotatably coupling a device panel to a mounting panel. A first portion of an elastic member is coupled to the mounting panel and a second portion of the elastic member is coupled substantially adjacent to a first pulley. A flexible element, in rolling communication with the first pulley, is coupled between the mounting panel and the device panel.

摘要: Embodiments include a balance mechanism having a first cam and a second cam configured to convert a variable force exerted by the energy storage member into a substantially constant force applied to a mounting portion. The balance mechanism may be useful for balancing forces such that a user can set the height of an electronic display and/or other equipment attached to the balance mechanism at a number of heights within the range of travel allowed by the mechanism. Lift mechanisms, display positioning apparatuses, and height adjustable desks incorporating a multi-cam balance mechanism are also provided. A method of positioning a display is also provided.
