    Abstract: A display device includes a light-emitting element on a light-emitting area of a substrate; a thin film transistor connected to the light-emitting element; a first insulating layer between the light-emitting element and the thin film transistor; and a second insulating layer which defines the light-emitting area and is between the thin film transistor and the second insulating layer. The first insulating layer includes a first area corresponding to the light-emitting area and a second area outside the light-emitting area, the first area has a first thickness, and the second area has a second thickness which is less than the first thickness, in a same one light-emitting area, the second insulating layer covers a lateral surface of the first area of the first insulating layer, and a height of the second insulating layer decreases along a direction from the first area to the second area.

    Abstract: A display apparatus includes: a substrate; a pixel-circuit layer including a pixel circuit; a via insulating layer on the pixel-circuit layer; a first electrode on the via insulating layer; a pixel-defining layer on the first electrode and exposing a portion of the first electrode; and a second electrode on the first electrode. The pixel-defining layer includes: first pixel-defining layers extending in a first direction and adjacent to each other in a second direction crossing the first direction; and second pixel-defining layers respectively between adjacent ones of the first pixel-defining layers. The second pixel-defining layers are spaced apart from each other, and the via insulating layer has a groove in at least a portion of a region at where the first pixel-defining layers overlaps the via insulating layer.

    Abstract: A display apparatus includes: a substrate including a first area, a second area, and a third area that is between the first area and the second area; a plurality of first to third display elements respectively arranged in the first to third areas, each of the plurality of first to third display elements including a pixel electrode; and an insulating layer including a plurality of first to third openings that respectively expose at least portions of the pixel electrodes of the plurality of first to third display elements.     Abstract: A display device includes a substrate including a display area and a non-display area surrounding the display area, a light emitting structure disposed on the substrate in the display area, a thin film encapsulation layer disposed on the light emitting structure, an optical structure including a first refractive pattern and a second refractive pattern, and a partition wall disposed on the substrate in the non-display area and surrounding the second refractive pattern. The first refractive pattern is disposed on the thin film encapsulation layer, and overlaps the light emitting structure. The second refractive pattern covers the first refractive pattern, has a refractive index smaller than a refractive index of the first refractive pattern, and includes an organic material.
