    Abstract: An electronic device includes a display module, an optical sensing module, a protective film, and a control module. The display module includes a display area, through which an image is displayed, and a peripheral area defined adjacent to the display area. The optical sensing module is disposed under the display module and receives an optical signal via the display module. The protective film is disposed on the display module. The control module includes a blur-measuring unit which compares a first image obtained using the optical sensing module before the protective film is attached to the display module with a second image obtained using the optical sensing module after the protective film is attached to the display module to calculate blur information included in the second image.

    Abstract: A fingerprint authentication method and device, display device, and biometric security apparatus include: a fingerprint sensor; a minutiae extraction circuit connected to the fingerprint sensor; a minutiae storage circuit connected to the minutiae extraction circuit; and a minutiae match circuit connected to the minutiae extraction circuit and the minutiae storage circuit, wherein the minutiae match circuit includes a class-wise comparator having a first input connected to the minutiae extraction circuit for receiving sensed fingerprint minutiae from each class of a plurality of classes, a second input connected to the minutiae storage circuit for receiving stored fingerprint minutiae belonging to each same class of the plurality of classes, respectively, and an output providing a fingerprint authentication signal responsive to the class-wise comparator.
