    Abstract: A neural network processing device includes: a convolution part which receives an input signal and a learning completion weight parameter, performs a convolution operation on the input signal and the learning completion weight parameter, and outputs a convolution signal that is a result value of the convolution operation; a batch adjustment which receives the convolution signal and a learning completion normalization parameter, and outputs an adjustment signal obtained by adjusting an output deviation of the convolution signal; and an activation part which converts the adjustment signal into an output signal based on an activation function.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a display device. The display device includes a controller and a display panel displaying an image. The controller includes a detector, a compensator, and a converter. The detector separates image data into first image data corresponding to a first image recognized as a non-afterimage component and second image data corresponding to a second image recognized as an afterimage component using a pre-trained deep neural network. The compensator outputs a compensation signal to control a luminance value of the second image data. The converter converts the first image data to first converted image data and converting the second image data to second converted image data based on the compensation signal.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a display device. The display device includes a controller and a display panel displaying an image. The controller includes a detector, a compensator, and a converter. The detector separates image data into first image data corresponding to a first image recognized as a non-afterimage component and second image data corresponding to a second image recognized as an afterimage component using a pre-trained deep neural network. The compensator outputs a compensation signal to control a luminance value of the second image data.     Abstract: A gamut adjusting method fully expresses a dynamic range of a display gamut to display an image more naturally. With respect to a brightness signal of each primary color of an input image signal, a data translation unit executes a matrix calculation based on a translation matrix for conversion into an image signal for display control. A saturation calculating unit calculates saturation of the input image signal. When saturation is smaller than a threshold value, the data translation unit is set with a translation matrix such that a tone on the display corresponds to or approximates a tone of the input image signal. When saturation is greater than the threshold value and smaller than a maximum value, as the saturation increases, a translation matrix is switched such that a vector on a xy chromaticity diagram toward a tone on a display approximates a vector toward a tone for maximum saturation.

    Abstract: An image processing device includes a generation unit and a smoothing processor. The generation unit calculates an edge strength on the basis of a stairs tone strength indicative of differences between a first parameter and a second parameter. The first parameter is a first gradient based on pixel values of a pixel of interest in an input image and adjacent pixels included in a first range with respect to the pixel of interest. The second parameter is one of a variance based on pixel values of the pixel of interest and the adjacent pixels, and a second gradient based on the pixel value of the pixel of interest and adjacent pixels included in a second range. The smoothing processor performs a nonlinear smoothing operation on the pixel value of the pixel of interest and the adjacent pixels included in the first range on the basis of the calculated edge strength.

    Abstract: An image processing device includes an edge strength calculation unit, and a mixing unit. The edge strength calculation unit calculates an edge strength of a pixel of interest in an input image from a stairs tone strength of the pixel of interest and a gradient of the pixel of interest, wherein the gradient is calculated from pixel values of the pixel of interest and pixels adjacent to the pixel of interest, and the stairs tone strength is indicative of differences between the gradient and a variance of the pixel of interest calculated from the pixel values of the pixel of interest and the adjacent pixels. The mixing unit calculates an illumination light component of the pixel of interest of the input image from an average value of the pixel of interest and pixel values adjacent to the pixel of interest, and a mixing ratio calculated from the edge strength.
