    Abstract: A display device includes a display panel including pixels connected to scan lines, a scan driving circuit including scan stages corresponding to the scan lines, respectively, where each of the scan stages receives a masking signal and a carry signal and outputs a scan signal, and a driving controller which divides the display panel into the first display area and the second display area, controls the scan driving circuit such that the first display area and the second display area operate with different frequencies, and outputs start signals provided at different timings. A first scan stage disposed in the first display area from among the scan stages receives a first start signal of the start signals as the carry signal, and a first scan stage disposed in the second display area from among the scan stages receives a second start signal of the start signals as the carry signal.

The upper display substrate includes a base substrate, a barrier part overlapping the light blocking area and disposed on the base substrate, a light blocking layer including a first light blocking portion disposed on the barrier part and a second light blocking portion disposed on the same layer as the barrier part to respectively overlap the pixel areas, a reflection layer including a first reflection portion disposed on the first light blocking portion and a second reflection portion disposed on the second light blocking portion, and a light control layer overlapping the pixel areas and disposed on the reflection layer.     Abstract: Provided is a display device. The display device includes a display panel that includes a first display region and a second display region, a data driving circuit configured to drive a plurality of data lines, a scan driving circuit configured to drive a plurality of scan lines, and a driving controller configured to control the data driving circuit and the scan driving circuit so as to operate the first display region and the second display region at different frequencies when an operation mode is a multi-frequency mode, wherein the driving controller changes the operation mode to a normal mode when a difference between an image signal of a current frame of the first display region and an image signal of a previous frame of the first display region is equal to or greater than a reference value during the multi-frequency mode.
