Abstract:
A display device includes a display panel including a plurality of pixels, a data driver configured to provide data voltages to the pixels, and a gate driver configured to provide gate signals to the pixels. The display device also includes a controller configured to control the data driver and the gate driver, and to control the magnitude of a sensing initialization voltage applied to the pixels based on a frame rate value when operating in a variable frame mode.
Abstract:
A display device includes a display unit including pixels, a timing controller which generates output grayscales based on input grayscales by applying a compensation value corresponding to a driving frequency of a previous frame to the input grayscales, and a data driver which generates data voltages corresponding to the output grayscales and supplies the data voltages to the display unit. When the display unit is driven at a first driving frequency, the timing controller corrects the compensation value corresponding to the first driving frequency in a way such that a luminance of the display unit is lowered on a frame-by-frame basis.
Abstract:
A display panel in which a graphic processing unit (GPU) of a personal computer (PC) is directly connected to a timing controller (T-Con) to exchange control signals, and a display apparatus including the display panel. The display panel includes a timing controller converting a video signal, an LED converter controlling an LED output based on a control of the timing controller, and a TFT pixel array displaying an image on a screen based on the control of the timing controller, wherein the T-Con is directly connected to a GPU of a PC, and transmits and receives a control signal to display the image on the screen.

Abstract:
A display device includes a timing controller and a grayscale unit electrically connected to the timing controller. The timing controller may generate first data for a pixel for a previous frame and first data for the pixel for a current frame. The grayscale unit may output a black-corresponding grayscale as second data for the pixel when a predetermined condition is satisfied. The black-corresponding grayscale corresponds to black. The predetermined condition may include that the first data for the pixel for the previous frame is in a predetermined second gray scale range and that the first data for the pixel for the current frame is in a predetermined first grayscale range. The predetermined first grayscale range may be between the predetermined second grayscale range and the black-corresponding grayscale.
