    Abstract: A liquid crystal display apparatus includes a first substrate, a color filter substrate disposed over the first substrate, and a liquid crystal layer disposed between the first substrate and the color filter substrate. The first substrate and the color filter substrate include a first sub-pixel region, a second sub-pixel region, and a third sub-pixel region. The color filter substrate includes: a second substrate facing the first substrate; an electrode pattern disposed over a surface of the second substrate, the surface facing the first substrate; a first light-converter disposed in association with the first sub-pixel region, the first light-converter including a first quantum rod; a second light-converter disposed in association with the second sub-pixel region, the second light-converter including a second quantum rod; and a third light-converter disposed in association with the third sub-pixel region.
