    Abstract: A mother substrate assembly according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention includes: a first mother substrate and a second mother substrate formed with a plurality of unit liquid crystal panels; and a sealant formed between the first mother substrate and the second mother substrate and combining the mother substrates, wherein the sealant encloses a circumference of each unit liquid crystal panel, and includes a first irradiation line formed in the sealant, and a second irradiation line formed in the sealant of a side closer to the unit liquid crystal panel than the first irradiation line.

    Abstract: A display device is provided. The display device includes a substrate including a plurality of pixel areas; a thin film transistor disposed on the substrate; a first insulating layer disposed on the thin film transistor; a pixel electrode connected to the thin film transistor and disposed on the first insulating layer; a common electrode separated from the pixel electrode with a microcavity interposed therebetween; a second insulating layer disposed on the common electrode; a roof layer disposed on the second insulating layer; a hydrophobic layer disposed on the roof layer and including a plurality of protrusions; an injection hole disposed in the common electrode, the second insulating layer, and the roof layer, the injection hole exposing a portion of the microcavity; a liquid crystal layer for filling the microcavity; and an overcoat formed on the roof layer and covering the injection hole, so as to seal the microcavity.

    Abstract: Provided is a liquid crystal display including: a first substrate; a thin film transistor disposed on the first substrate; a passivation layer disposed on the thin film transistor and comprising a contact hole exposing an electrode of the thin film transistor; a pixel electrode disposed on the passivation layer and connected to the electrode of the thin film transistor through the contact hole; a lower buffer layer disposed on the pixel electrode; a lower alignment layer disposed on the lower buffer layer; a second substrate facing the first substrate; a common electrode disposed on the second substrate; an upper buffer layer disposed on the common electrode; and an upper alignment layer disposed on the upper buffer layer, in which the lower buffer layer comprises parylene, the upper buffer layer comprises parylene, or both the lower and the upper buffer layers comprise parylene.

    Abstract: A display includes a plurality of pixel columns and a plurality of pixel rows including a first pair of pixel rows and a second pair of pixel rows adjacent to each other. The LCD also includes a first gate line and a second gate line positioned between the first pair of pixel rows and the second pair of pixel rows, a microcavity layer including a plurality of liquid crystal injection holes, and a common electrode positioned on the microcavity layer. The LCD also includes a supporting member positioned on a common electrode and a capping layer positioned on a supporting member to cover the liquid crystal injection holes. The plurality of liquid crystal injection holes may be positioned between the first pair of pixel rows and the second pair of pixel rows.

    Abstract: A display includes a plurality of pixel columns and a plurality of pixel rows including a first pair of pixel rows and a second pair of pixel rows adjacent to each other.
