Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a communication technique for fusing, with an IoT technology, a 5G communication system for supporting a higher a data transmission rate than a 4G system, and a system therefor. According to various embodiments of the present disclosure, a method performed by a base station of a serving cell in a wireless communication system may comprise the steps of: transmitting configuration information for an artificial intelligence (AI)-based handover to a terminal; receiving, from the terminal, a handover request to a target cell according to the AI-based handover; and transmitting, to the terminal, a configuration message for access to the target cell, in response to the handover request, wherein the target cell is identified on the basis of a neural network (NN) configured for the AI-based handover and a measurement result of the terminal.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a 6G communication system for accomplishing ultra-low delay time and a data transmission rate higher than that of 4G and 5G communication systems. According to embodiments of the present disclosure, a base station can match (or map), to a channel state information-reference signal (CSI-RS), beams having a high probability of being selected as the beam with the best performance at the location of a terminal, and can provide the CSI-RS to the terminal. Therefore, the possibility of the inclusion of the beams with the best performance from among the beams corresponding to the CSI-RS can be increased. Thus, beam tracking with more improved performance can be performed when a beamforming technology is operated in millimeter wave and terahertz bands, or ultrahigh frequency bands or higher.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a 5G or 6G communication system supporting higher data transmission rates than 4G systems such as LTE systems. The present invention of the present disclosure pertains to a method for handing over a terminal in a wireless communication system, wherein the method is characterized by: receiving handover control reference information from a base station; determining whether to perform a handover on the basis of the handover control reference information and wireless signal information acquired through the measurement of a wireless signal; and transmitting a handover request message to the base station when it is determined that handover is to be performed.
