An electronic device and method are disclosed. The electronic device includes a touch-sensitive display, a memory and a processor. The processor implements the method, including: detect a written input including a plurality of strokes through the display, group the plurality of strokes into a first group and a second group based on respective coordinates of each of the plurality of strokes, group first strokes included in the first group into a plurality of blocks, based on a distance between respective coordinates of each of the first strokes, determine a slope for each of the plurality of blocks, rotate an area corresponding to the first group based on the determined slope, execute handwriting recognition on the first strokes based on the rotated area, and displaying a result of the handwriting recognition on the display.

The electronic device includes a display including a sensing panel that senses a handwriting input, at least one processor operatively connected to the display, and memory storing instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the electronic device to acquire the handwriting input through the display, wherein the handwriting input includes a first handwriting input corresponding to a first line and a second handwriting input corresponding to a second line, determine whether to merge the second line into the first line or to maintain the second line based on whether at least one of the first handwriting input and/or the second handwriting input satisfies a specified condition, convert the handwriting input where the merging or the maintenance of the second line is applied into text, and display the converted text through the display.

Disclosed is an electronic device for processing a handwriting input and including a touch screen, a processor operatively connected with the touch screen, and a memory operatively connected with the processor, wherein the memory stores instructions, which when executed, cause the processor to control the electronic device to perform handwriting recognition for a first handwriting input of a user displayed on the touch screen, to convert the first handwriting input into a text, identify at least one of an attribute or characteristic of the first handwriting input, apply at least one of the identified attribute or characteristic to the converted text, and in response to a request for conversion of the first handwriting input, replace the first handwriting input into a text (herein after, a first rich text) to which the identified at least one of the attribute or characteristic has been applied.

The method of reproducing a sound source, includes detecting generation of an input; extracting at least one sampling point with respect to the input while the input continues; analyzing input information based on the at least one sampling point; determining a reproducing attribute with respect to a sound source corresponding to the input information based on the input information; and reproducing the sound source corresponding to the input information according to the determined reproducing attribute.

One or more embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method and a device for supporting handwriting input in an electronic device. An electronic device includes a display module and a processor, wherein the processor can: display an execution screen of an application supporting handwriting input; sense the handwriting input through the execution screen; set at least one region of interest on the basis of at least one object corresponding to the handwriting; identify, in response to an action of a user, a target object on the basis of the at least one region of interest; and perform handwriting alignment on the basis of the target object.

According to various embodiments, an electronic device may comprise a display, a memory for storing a machine learning algorithm related to character separation, and at least one processor, wherein the at least one processor is configured to receive a handwriting input via the display; extract feature information between a series of consecutive strokes corresponding to the handwriting input; merge or separate the strokes through the machine learning algorithm on the basis of the extracted feature information; and perform handwriting recognition on the basis of the result of the merging or separation.
