Abstract: The embodiments herein disclose methods and systems for reducing network protocol latency for at least one application on an electronic device, a method includes pre-resolving a plurality of Domain Name System (DNS) queries for the at least one application. The plurality of DNS queries is pre-resolved before triggering at least one DNS resolution query from the at least one application. The method includes pre-connecting a plurality of TCP connections of the at least one application with at least one Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) server. The plurality of TCP connections are pre-connected before triggering at least one TCP connection request from the at least one application. The method includes exchanging a plurality of secure certificates with the at least one TCP server to secure the plurality of pre-connected TCP connections. The secure certificates are exchanged before receiving at least one request from the at least one application for secure certificate negotiation.

Abstract: Methods and systems for managing a Multipath Transmission Control Protocol (MPTCP) in an electronic device during data transport between the electronic device (client device) and other electronic device (host device) are described. The method includes monitoring one or more factors associated with the MPTCP implemented in the client device. Further, based on the one or more factors that are monitored, the method includes determining whether to enable the MPTCP in the electronic device for a current data transport. Thereafter, the method includes determining a mode, among a plurality of modes provided for the MPTCP, to control a plurality of subflows of the MPTCP when the MPTCP is enabled for the current data transport. The method further includes dynamically switching the mode of the MPTCP during the current data transport based on the one or more factors being monitored during the current data transport.

Abstract: Embodiments herein disclose a method for Device IP Status Checking and Connection Orchestration (DISCCO) by a first electronic device. The method may include receiving a version(s) of an IP address from a backhaul server. The method may include determining an IP stack capability status of a second electronic device using a network protocol(s), where the IP stack capability status indicates whether the received version(s) of the IP address is supported by the second electronic device and the received version(s) of the IP address is enabled on the second electronic device. The method may include storing the IP stack capability status of the second electronic device into a host status database of the first electronic device. The method may include orchestrating the received version(s) of the IP address with the backhaul server and/or the second electronic device based on the stored IP stack capability status.

The method comprises initiating a data session of at least one application from a plurality of applications with a first communication interface using a first socket of the UE having a first socket file descriptor (SOCKFD) for the data session, detecting a deterioration in a network connection of the first communication interface, identifying a second communication interface, establishing a second socket having a second SOCKFD associated with the second communication interface and migrating the data session from the first communication interface to the second communication interface by mapping the first SOCKFD corresponding to the first socket to the second SOCKFD corresponding to the second socket.

Abstract: A method of discovering edge-servers and services through domain name server (DNS) resolution in a mobile edge computing (MEC) platform based network is provided. The method includes communicating a DNS-query from a user-equipment to a DNS server, wherein DNS query pertains to a user-request for accessing one or more web-based services. The user equipment (UE) receives, from the DNS server, a response comprising details with respect to a plurality of available-servers configured for rendering the web-based services. The details comprises at-least one of, an indication of the server being edge server associated with the MEC platform or a remote-server, a location of the server, and one or more services associated with the server. Each of the available servers are evaluated by the UE based on the response at-least based on the plurality of associated services and a distance of the server with respect to the UE.
