    Abstract: A method may include determining, for a channel, a target component of precoding information, determining at least a part of the precoding information based on the target component and a decompressed component of the precoding information, and sending, from a user equipment, the at least a part of the precoding information. Determining the at least a part of the precoding information may be based on a correlation between the target component and the decompressed component. The at least a part of the precoding information may include a vector of coefficients. The vector of coefficients may include a vector of complex numbers. At least one of the complex numbers may include an amplitude representing a scaling coefficient and a phase representing a rotation coefficient. The target component may include a target matrix. The decompressed component may include a decompressed matrix. The target matrix may include a linear combination coefficients matrix. The precoding information may include a precoding matrix indicator.

    Abstract: A receiver circuit for separating a plurality of layers multiplexed in an orthogonal frequency domain multiplexed (OFDM) signal includes: a descrambling sub-circuit configured to descramble a plurality of signals received on non-adjacent subcarriers of the OFDM signal to generate a plurality of descrambled signals; an inverse fast Fourier transform sub-circuit configured to transform the descrambled signals from a frequency domain to a received signal including a plurality of samples in a time domain; and a layer separation sub-circuit configured to separate the layers multiplexed in the received signal by: defining a first time domain sampling window and a second time domain sampling window in accordance with a size of the inverse fast Fourier transform; extracting one or more first layers from the samples in the first time domain sampling window; and extracting one or more second layers from the samples in the second time domain sampling window.

    Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed for performing data-aided channel tracking for a subcarrier, including obtaining a reference channel estimate (CE) at a first time instance using a reference signal; determining, based on the obtained reference CE and based on received data symbols, a data-aided CE at a second time instance that is subsequent to the first time instance; and sequentially determining one or more additional data-aided CEs, for one or more time instances subsequent to the second time instance, based on a data-aided CE obtained at a previous time instance and based on the received data symbols.
