Abstract:
A method of processing multiple inputs in an apparatus having interfaces for interaction with an outside is provided. The method includes detecting a first user input from one of the interfaces, performing a function in response to the first user input, detecting a second user input or a system input from another one of the interfaces, and changing attributes of the function in response to the second user input or the system input.
Abstract:
A method of controlling a voice input of a terminal supporting a voice recognition function is provided. The method includes controlling a microphone to be in a turn-off state during operation of a voice recognition mode; detecting a first user input for requesting turn-on of the microphone based on at least one of a touch input, a touch pen input, and a key input; controlling the microphone in the turn-off state to be in a turn-on state when the first user input is detected; collecting voice input data of a user through the microphone in the turn-on state; and controlling the microphone in the turn-on state to be in the turn-off state when a second user input for requesting the turn-off of the microphone is detected, and terminating collecting the voice input data.
Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for recognizing voice in a portable terminal, and more particularly, a method and an apparatus for recognizing voice by re-combining commands in a portable terminal is provided. The method of controlling an application in a portable terminal includes displaying a voice control application, extracting keywords in a unit of a command from a received voice when receiving the voice, and classifying the keywords, rearranging the classified keywords according to a set control order, and generating a final command, and executing a function by processing the final command.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus are provided for controlling a function based on speech recognition. Speech input in a first language is recognized. Dictation, which converts the speech input into text based on the first language, is performed. A language change event is detected. Additional speech input in a second language, which is different from the first language, is recognized after the language change event. Dictation, which converts the additional speech input into additional text based on the second language, is performed.
