Abstract:
A portable terminal is provided. The portable terminal includes a flexible display element, a first antenna element disposed at a first region on the display element, a second antenna element disposed at a foldable second region on the display element to face the first region, and a switch element configured to selectively connect the second antenna element. When the display element is folded or rolled, the first and second antenna elements at least partially overlap each other, and the switch element disconnects the second antenna element. The portable terminal including the antenna device as described above may maintain a stable transmission/reception performance although it includes a flexible display element or a display assembly. When a plurality of antenna elements are provided, the portable terminal may implement a Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) antenna device in a state where the display element is extended.
Abstract:
An electronic device including a processor and an antenna device is provided. The antenna device includes a power feeding unit, a first radiation section connected to the power feeding unit, and a switching element including a first terminal electrically connected to first portion of the first radiation section, and a second terminal electrically connected to a second portion of the first radiation section. The processor uses a first resonance frequency band when the switching element is opened and uses a second resonance frequency which is different from the first when the switching element is closed.

Abstract:
An antenna device and an electronic device including the same are provided. The antenna device includes a first radiator in which a slot is formed, a second radiator, at least a portion of which is disposed in the slot, and a feeder configured to feed the same electricity to the first radiator and the second radiator. The antenna device may have many resonance frequencies in the same installation space, allowing efficient use of the internal space of the electronic device. Moreover, the antenna device and the electronic device including the same may be implemented variously according to various embodiments.

Abstract:
A multi-band loop antenna is provided. The antenna includes a loop radiator that operates in a low frequency band, and at least two loop radiators that operate in a high frequency band and are inserted into an inner area of the low frequency band loop radiator. Each of the radiators independently operates according to an operating frequency band, to provide a multi-band characteristic.
