Abstract:
An apparatus interworking with a metal member used both as an antenna and a sensor element in a portable terminal is disclosed. The apparatus includes the metal member, responsive to a sensed body, and for transmitting and receiving a signal in at least one or more communication service bands, and a main board having a communication module for processing a signal transmitted and received by the metal member and a sensor module for obtaining information in response to the approach of a sensed body.
Abstract:
An electronic device for communicating in a network is provided. The electronic device includes a circuit board, a frame, a feeding structure formed on the circuit board, and an antenna unit disposed in a plane at a predetermined angle with respect to a surface of the circuit board. In addition, the antenna unit is disposed apart from the frame in electrical connection with the feeding structure.
Abstract:
An antenna apparatus and an electronic device are provided. The electronic device includes a plurality of metal parts, an antenna radiator arranged around the plurality of metal parts, and at least one sub antenna radiator arranged to electrically connect with the antenna radiator around the antenna radiator, and prevent deterioration of radiation efficiency of the antenna radiator caused by the plurality of metal parts.
Abstract:
A portable terminal is provided. The portable terminal includes a main housing, a sub housing, a mainboard, and an electric connector. The main housing has a first antenna radiator. The sub housing is separable from the main housing and has a second antenna radiator. The mainboard is disposed in the main housing and processes a radio signal. The electric connector is disposed in the main housing. When the sub housing and the main housing are separated from each other, the electric connector electrically connects the mainboard with the first antenna radiator of the main housing. When the sub housing and the main housing are coupled, the electric connector electrically connects the mainboard with the second antenna radiator of the sub housing.
Abstract:
An antenna apparatus for a portable terminal having a main board is provided. The antenna apparatus includes a main antenna that electrically connects to a feed line of the main board. A metal frame is constructed as part of a case frame forming an exterior of the portable terminal. The metal frame is divided into first and second parts that are separated. The first part electrically connects to the main antenna or to the main board feed line, and is designed to radiate. The second part electrically connects to a ground surface of the main board. The metal frame enhances overall antenna performance rather than causing degradation through interference.
Abstract:
An electronic device including a processor and an antenna device is provided. The antenna device includes a power feeding unit, a first radiation section connected to the power feeding unit, and a switching element including a first terminal electrically connected to first portion of the first radiation section, and a second terminal electrically connected to a second portion of the first radiation section. The processor uses a first resonance frequency band when the switching element is opened and uses a second resonance frequency which is different from the first when the switching element is closed.
Abstract:
Provided are an apparatus and method for providing a multi-antenna scheme in a wireless communication system by using a plurality of terminals. In a downlink receiving scheme at a mobile terminal, a terminal group is established comprising the mobile terminal and at least one adjacent terminal The mobile terminal receives a first signal from a base station, and at least one second signal through a short-range communication network from the at least one adjacent terminal The at least one second signal is representative of the first signal transmitted from the base station as received at the at least one adjacent terminal A received signal is detected as an antenna array signal on the basis of the first and at least one second signals. A similar scheme may be used for uplink transmissions, in which a virtual antenna array is established with a terminal group for transmitting uplink.
Abstract:
Disclosed are an antenna device and an electronic device that includes the antenna device. The antenna device includes a power feeding unit, a ground unit, a radiating unit that is electrically connected to the power feeding unit, and a switching element that selects one or more points from a plurality of different points of the ground unit and connects the radiating unit to the selected one or more points.
Abstract:
A mobile terminal is provided. The mobile terminal includes a voice receiving module configured to receive the voice of a user through a first application and to generate first voice data for the voice received through the first application, a control module configured to transmit the first voice data and user information corresponding to the first voice data to a service server and to request the service server to register the first voice data and the user information, and a communication module configured to transmit, to the service server, a request for the user information corresponding to the voice of the user received through a second application when the voice of the user is received through the second application.
