Abstract:
An image forming apparatus including a hinge assembly to mutually hinge-connect a main body and a cover unit of the image forming apparatus and the hinge assembly is provided. The image forming apparatus includes a main body, a cover unit configured to be disposed on an upper side of the main body to press a manuscript, and at least one hinge assembly configured to connect the cover unit to the main body, wherein the hinge assembly includes a first body detachably mounted on the main body, a second body of which a part is fastened to the cover unit and another part is hinge-connected with the first body, a pressing unit accommodated in the first body to press the second body upward, and a pressing force adjuster configured to adjust a hinge force between the first body and the second body.
Abstract:
Provided is a technology for controlling an electrowetting cell. The electrowetting cell may be controlled by applying a preset first voltage to the electrowetting cell, measuring a first circuit parameter between any one side surface and a conductive liquid disposed in the electrowetting cell and determining whether a reset second voltage is to be applied to the electrowetting cell based on the measured first circuit parameter.
Abstract:
A scanning device and an image forming apparatus are provided. The scanning device includes a position-changing module that is provided on a base frame separately from a cover and changes a position of at least one selected from a pickup module and a friction module to release a nip that is formed between the pickup module and the friction module. Thus, paper jams may be easily solved and the nip may be prevented from being unnecessarily released.
Abstract:
A changeable liquid lens array and a method of manufacturing the same. The changeable liquid lens array includes a substrate, a plurality of partition walls arrayed on the substrate and having a fluid travel path, cells defined by the plurality of partition walls, a first fluid comprised in the cells, a second fluid arranged on the first fluid, a first electrode arranged on at least one side surface of each of the partition walls, and a second electrode disposed to be separate from the partition walls. A shape of shape of an interface between the first fluid and the second fluid changes based on a voltage that is applied to the first electrode and the second electrode.
Abstract:
A scanning device and an image forming apparatus are provided. The scanning device includes document feeding rollers to convey a document along a document feeding path, a scanning member provided on the document feeding path to read images from the document, a cover to open and close a part of the document feeding path, a knob to manually rotate the document feeding rollers, and a clutch unit to selectively connect at least one of the document feeding rollers to the knob in correspondence with opening and closing operations of the cover.
Abstract:
A variable optical device array includes: a transparent substrate; an addressing layer including an electrode wire arranged on the transparent substrate; a barrier wall portion disposed on the addressing layer to define cell regions and including conductive barrier walls that are electrically connected to the electrode wire, wherein pairs of the conductive barrier walls are arranged to form double walls; an insulation material filling a region between each pair of conductive barrier walls; a conductive first fluid and a nonconductive second fluid disposed in each of the cell regions, wherein the first and second fluids are not mixed; an insulation coating layer disposed on a top surface of each of the conductive barrier walls and on side surfaces of each of the cell regions; a transparent electrode layer covering the cell regions; and a voltage applying unit to apply a voltage between the transparent electrode layer and the addressing layer.
