Abstract:
An apparatus and method for preventing an acoustic shock of a portable terminal are disclosed. The apparatus includes a transceiver gain determining unit including a table of gain values for sound signals in each of one or more call modes, configured to output a particular gain value corresponding to a particular call mode; a reference value determining unit configured to receive the gain value from the transceiver gain determining unit, monitor a change in the gain value, and determine a predetermined reference energy value based on the change in the gain value; and an output level adjusting unit configured to receive an input signal, compare the input signal with the predetermined reference energy value, and adjust the level of the input signal to output an output signal.
Abstract:
A method and electronic device for adaptive processing of sound data is provided. An electronic device includes a speaker, a communication module configured to communicate with an external electronic device, and a processor connected to the communication module, wherein the processor is configured to receive data from the external electronic device using the communication module, when the data corresponds to speech, decode the data using a first decoding scheme and change the quality of the decoded data using a first signal processing scheme, when the data corresponds to music, decode the data using a second decoding scheme and change the quality of the decoded data using a second signal processing scheme, and output, through the speaker, an audio signal corresponding to the data changed using the first signal processing scheme or the second signal processing scheme.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for selectively provide an automatic volume adjustment service considering an audio output signal in an electronic device. A method for adjusting a volume includes identifying a second signal which is output through a speaker while a first signal is input through a microphone, and determining whether a volume of an audio signal to be output through the speaker is increased, based on a correlation between the first signal and the second signal.
Abstract:
A method, device, a non-transitory computer-readable recording medium for controlling a voice signal by an electronic device including a first microphone, a second microphone, a communication interface, and a processor are provided. The method includes acquiring a first voice signal by using the first microphone; acquiring a second voice signal by using the second microphone; confirming a telephone call mode for performing, by the electronic device, a telephone call with an external electronic device; adjusting a first output attribute corresponding to the first voice signal or a second output attribute corresponding to the second voice signal, based on the telephone call mode; and transmitting the adjusted first voice signal or the adjusted second voice signal to the external electronic device by using the communication interface.
