Abstract: A system and method are provided to efficiently provide coverage within a large scale of a building by identifying user equipment (UE) on a floor by floor basis using a distributed antenna system (DAS) and pseudo timing advance values (TA) assigned to each floor. By applying different pseudo delays on a plurality of distributed antenna basis located at each floor, a base station can know a floor at which a user equipment is located through a timing advance value of the user equipment. When a traffic amount increases based on the measured traffic amount of each floor, the base station may increase a carrier and adjust an amplifier output on a floor by floor basis, thereby efficiently using power and maintaining a user's quality of experience (QoE).

Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods and apparatuses for transmitting data, by a base station, in an unlicensed frequency. A method according to a representative embodiment includes: transmitting a first signal for determining whether a data transmission is possible in an unlicensed frequency band; transmitting a second signal for reserving a data transmission in the unlicensed frequency band when the data transmission in the unlicensed frequency band is possible; and transmitting first data to a terminal through the unlicensed frequency band after transmitting the second signal. In an aspect, the base station determines whether other communication devices do not use the unlicensed frequency band, and transmits a channel reservation signal having a period shorter than a resource allocation period during a predetermined period of time, thereby pursuing coexistence with other communication devices and improving the performance of a communication system at the same time.

The present disclosure is to provide a multicast service in a wireless communication system and comprises the steps of: receiving a multicast group participation message transmitted from a terminal via a communication session from a terminal to a first network entity; generating a multicast tunnel generation request message on the basis of the multicast group participation message, and transmitting the same to the first network entity; and generating a multicast service request message on the basis of the multicast group participation message, and transmitting the same to a second network entity. The present research is research that has been conducted with the support of the “Cross-Departmental Giga KOREA Project” funded by the government (the Ministry of Science and ICT) in 2017 (No. GK17N0100, millimeter wave 5G mobile communication system development).

The apparatus includes at least one processor, and at least one transceiver configured to be operatively coupled to the at least one processor, wherein the at least one processor is configured to receive a response message from each of a plurality of UEs in response to a request message transmitted from the UE, identify at least one UE for a dynamic group from among the plurality of UEs based on the response message, generate an identifier (ID) for the dynamic group based on an ID of the UE, and transmit, to the at least one UE, a group create message including the ID for the dynamic group.

Abstract: A network assignment method of a gateway in a wireless communication system including a first communication network and a second communication network is provided. The method includes receiving, when a terminal is connected to the first communication network, a create session request message from a second mobility management entity associated with a second base station operating the second communication network, allocating second attach information for establishing a bearer between the gateway and the second base station based on first attach information generated for connection to the first communication network, and transmitting a create session response message including the second attach information to the second mobility management entity in response to the create session request message.
