Abstract: Various embodiments of the present invention relate to an electronic device for processing a message and a method for operating the same. The electronic device comprises a display, a wireless communication circuit, a processor operatively connected to the communication circuit and to the display, and a memory operatively connected to the processor. The memory stores a first application program, which is a short message service (SMS) application program, and a second application program, which is a non-SMS application program. The memory may comprise instructions that, when executed, cause the processor to: receive a push notification from an external server through the communication circuit by using the second application program, the push notification indicating a message regarding the first application program; transmit a request regarding the message to the external server through the communication circuit by using the second application program; receive the message from the external server through the communication circuit by using the second application program; provide the message to the first application program by using the second application program; and display the message by using the user interface of the first application program. Other embodiments are also possible.

Abstract: A server may include a communication interface, a memory, and a processor operatively connected to the communication interface and the memory. The processor may receive data related to a group SMS of a group comprising a first electronic device; receive a plurality of messages transmitted by the first electronic device from a SMS message center (SMSC); perform forking on the plurality of messages sequentially; generate an object corresponding to the group SMS based on address information of forked messages that match the data related to the group SMS received from the first electronic device; and transmit the object corresponding to the group SMS to a second electronic device.

Abstract: FIG. 1 is a front view of a first image in a sequence of a display screen or portion thereof with transitional graphical user interface showing our new design;
FIG. 2 is a front view of a second image thereof;
FIG. 3 is a front view of a third image thereof; and,
FIG. 4 is a front view of a fourth image thereof.
The outermost broken line in the figures depicts a display screen or portion thereof that forms no part of the claimed design.
The remaining broken lines in the figures depict portions of the transitional graphical user interface which form no part of the claimed design.
The appearance of the transitional graphical user interface sequentially transitions between the images shown in FIGS. 1 through 4. The process or period in which one image transitions to another forms no part of the claimed design.
The grayscale tones which depict features of the graphical user interface are intended to represent color contrast, and not any particular tone or shade of color.
