Abstract:
A refrigerator including a water intake container, in which carbonated water is produced by mixture of carbon dioxide and clean water, a first dispenser assembly, which the water intake container is attached to or detached from, and which supplies carbon dioxide and clean water to the water intake container when the water intake container is attached to the first dispenser, a dispenser lever and a second dispenser assembly which discharges clean water or ice according to manipulation of the dispenser lever, but stops the discharging of clean water or ice if the water intake container is attached to the first dispenser assembly. The refrigerator may include a dispenser lever and a processor to control an ice maker to stop operation if a command is entered through a user interface and to control the ice maker to start operation if the dispenser lever is manipulated while the ice maker stops operation.
Abstract:
A carbonated water production unit for a refrigerator includes a coupler to which a container is coupled to be detachable, a cylinder configured to store carbon dioxide, a nozzle module configured to inject carbon dioxide into the container, a regulation member, a first valve, a second valve, a user interface which receives a command for production of carbonated water and an input of concentration of the carbonated water, and a controller which controls the first valve to supply water when the command for the production of carbonated water is input, determines information on injection of the carbon dioxide corresponding to the concentration of the carbonated water when the supply of water is completed, controls the regulation member to inject the carbon dioxide based on the determined information on the injection, and controls the second valve to regulate the pressure of the container when injection of the carbon dioxide is completed.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a refrigerator and a control method thereof. The refrigerator includes a purified water tank to store water, a flow sensor to detect an amount of water supplied to the purified water tank, a purified water supply valve to open/close a purified water supply flow path to guide water stored in the purified water tank to the carbonated water tank, a carbonated water discharge valve to open/close a carbonated water discharge flow path to guide the carbonated water to the outside of the refrigerator, and a controller to detect a position where water leakage occurs by sequentially opening the purified water supply valve and the carbonated water discharge valve in a water leakage mode.
Abstract:
A refrigerator includes a mixing container in which carbon dioxide and purified water are mixed and carbonated water is prepared, a mounting body on or from which the mixing container is mountable or detachable, a first dispenser assembly which injects the carbon dioxide and the purified water into the mixing container when the mixing container is mounted on the mounting body, and a user interface which outputs information on whether the mixing container is mounted on the mounting body.
