    Abstract: A method for determining a network status is provided. The method includes obtaining a period determined by a first processor of an electronic apparatus, using a second processor of the electronic apparatus, transmitting a preset message from the electronic apparatus to another apparatus in a network according to the determined period, using the second processor, determining the network status based on at least one of (i) whether or not a response to the preset message is received and (ii) information included in the response, using the second processor, and when the network status is determined to be abnormal, activating the first processor using the second processor.
