Display apparatus and method are provided. The display apparatus may include a receiver for receiving an image; a grouper for analyzing the received image and grouping a plurality of frames of the received image based on the analysis; a depth allocator for determining at least two key frames from a plurality of frames grouped into at least one group, and allocating a depth per object in the determined key frames; and an image generator for generating a 3D image corresponding to other frames excluding the key frames based on a depth value allocated to the key frames. Hence, the display apparatus can allocate the depth value of a higher quality to the object in the frames of the received image.
Abstract:
A content providing apparatus, system, and method for recommending content. The method includes: receiving user information from a display apparatus; determining whether a terminal apparatus of a user is registered, based on the received user information; when the terminal apparatus is determined to be registered, determining whether recommended content for the user exists, based on pattern information about content usage of the user and content information; and when the recommended content for the user is determined to exist, transmitting a notification message for the recommended content to the terminal apparatus. Therefore, utilization of a notification service for recommended content is further improved.

An image processing apparatus and method include a receiver configured to receive an image, a display configured to display the received image, an extractor configured to extract a first object contour by applying a preset algorithm to an area of the displayed image designated by a user and extract a second object contour based on the designated area, an image analyzer configured to analyze the displayed image, and a controller configured to determine weight values for the first and second object contours based on an analysis result of the image analyzer and extract an object contour based on the first and second object contours to which the determined weight values are applied. The image processing apparatus extracts an object intended by a user even in a heavily noisy image.

A method including acquiring a source image and depth information of the source image, determining, using depth information, an overlapping region in which some pixels of a source image are shifted and a plurality of pixels overlap, calculating a weight for the overlapping region with a processor, using distance information with respect to a foreground region of the source image and a background region of the source image, generating, using the depth information and the overlapping region, a foreground-depth image in which the foreground region is extended and a background-depth image in which the background region is extended, generating a foreground image using the source image and the foreground-depth image, generating a background image using the source and the background-depth image, and generating, using the weight from the overlapping region, at least one of a left-eye image and a right-eye image by synthesizing the foreground image and the background image.
