    Abstract: Disclosed is a display apparatus including a display panel; and a light source assembly including: a plurality of first light sources disposed in a first region to supply first light toward the display panel; a light guide plate including: incident surface configured to receive second light; and an exit surface facing the display panel and configured to transmit the second light received from the incident surface of the light guide plate to the display panel; and a plurality of second light sources disposed on a periphery of the first region to supply the second light to the incident surface of the light guide plate.

    Abstract: A direct-type reflective diffusion lens and a lighting installation including the reflective diffusion lens. The reflective diffusion lens includes a first reflective surface concave and having a longitudinal cross-section with a parabola shape or normal distribution shape to totally reflect incident light, and a bottom surface comprising a light incident surface concave toward the first reflective surface.     Abstract: A curved display apparatus includes a curved display panel, a curved bottom sash disposed at a rear of the display panel such that the curved bottom sash is spaced apart from the display panel, and a plurality of backlight units disposed at opposite inner sides of the bottom sash to irradiate light to the bottom sash. The inside of the bottom sash reflects the light irradiated from the backlight units to the display panel. Consequently, a light guide plate may be omitted from the display apparatus.

    Abstract: A backlight unit and a display device having the same includes a light source installed at a position, separated from the central region of a light diffuser diffusing light by a predetermined distance, to radiate light to the light diffuser, and a lens unit installed between the light diffuser and the light source and having a surface facing the light source, the surface of the lens unit facing the light source including reflective areas which are coated with a reflective material and reflect a part of light radiated from the light source, and a transmissive area transmitting the other part of light radiated from the light source. The display device may eliminate generation of a dark region on a display panel due to the shadow of the backlight unit through improvement of the structure of the lens unit.
