Display apparatus includes LEDs, bottom chassis to accommodate the LEDs; and reflective member disposed on the bottom chassis. The reflective member includes a reflective bottom portion, and a reflective inclined portion obliquely formed to face a rear surface of the display panel which includes first regions that respectively correspond to LEDs located adjacent to the reflective inclined portion, and second regions each provided between two neighboring first regions and has a reflective characteristic different from a reflective characteristic of a neighboring first region. Second regions and neighboring first regions are on the reflective inclined portion having a uniform incline angle with respect to a side edge of the reflective bottom portion, the first regions include a group of light adjusting members, and the group of light adjusting members of each of the first regions is disposed to correspond to one of the LEDs disposed adjacent to the reflective inclined portion.

A LED module includes a printed circuit board, LEDs which are vertically mounted on the printed circuit board and which emit light onto a side surface, and a contact member which is provided to come into contact with a light guide plate. The printed circuit board may be movably coupled to a bottom chassis. When the light guide plate undergoes thermal expansion, the LED module may move by pressing of the light guide plate acting on the contact member. Accordingly, a gap between the light guide plate and the LEDs may be uniformly maintained even when the light guide plate undergoes thermal expansion or is returned to an original state.

Provided is a display apparatus including a liquid crystal panel and a shutter panel, wherein the shutter panel includes a shutter layer configured to change a polarizing axis of light transmitted through a selected area, a shutter polarizing layer disposed on a front surface of the shutter layer, and configured to transmit light having the polarizing axis changed by the shutter layer, and a quantum rod layer disposed on a rear surface of the shutter layer, and configured to convert a wavelength of light that is incident to the shutter panel, and to transmit light having a polarizing axis of a predetermined direction to the shutter layer. Therefore, the display apparatus may implement a local dimming structure and improve the optical efficiency.

The backlight unit includes LEDs disposed apart from one another in 2D array, and the reflective sheet includes a sheet bottom portion corresponding to a front surface of the bottom chassis, a sheet inclined portion which is obliquely formed to face a rear surface of the display panel, and light adjustment portions which are provided on the sheet inclined portion and configured to adjust the light portion reflected by the sheet inclined portion. Each of the light adjustment portions corresponds to one of the LEDs disposed adjacent to the sheet inclined portion.

A backlight unit and a display device having the same includes a light source installed at a position, separated from the central region of a light diffuser diffusing light by a predetermined distance, to radiate light to the light diffuser, and a lens unit installed between the light diffuser and the light source and having a surface facing the light source, the surface of the lens unit facing the light source including reflective areas which are coated with a reflective material and reflect a part of light radiated from the light source, and a transmissive area transmitting the other part of light radiated from the light source. The display device may eliminate generation of a dark region on a display panel due to the shadow of the backlight unit through improvement of the structure of the lens unit.
