The electronic paper includes upper and lower electrodes made of a transparent material and disposed to face each other; transparent barrier ribs disposed between the upper and lower electrodes to form a plurality of cells; twist balls each having a sphere-shaped structure and received in each of the cells, the twist ball having first and second display regions on a surface thereof and the first and second display regions being colored with different colors and respectively electrified with positive charges and negative charges; and a black matrix layer provided below the transparent barrier ribs, the black matrix layer having a larger width than the transparent barrier rib.

    摘要: There is provided a method of manufacturing electronic paper, the method including: preparing a substrate having a plurality of accommodating holes in order to accommodate electronic paper display elements; injecting insulating liquid into the individual accommodating holes; increasing the height of partitions forming the accommodating holes by mounting a mask on the partitions, the mask providing through-holes having a size similar to that of the accommodating holes; putting the electronic paper display elements into the accommodating holes; removing extra electronic paper display elements in excess of a predetermined number thereof by a removal unit in order that the predetermined number of electronic paper display elements are put into the accommodating holes; and removing the mask mounted on the partitions after the extra electronic paper display elements are removed from the accommodating holes.

    摘要: Disclosed herein are an electronic paper display and a method for manufacturing the same. In the electronic paper display according to the present invention, red, green, blue, and black (RGBK) rotatable balls are included in a plurality of pixel spaces isolated by barrier ribs, two or more rotatable balls having the same color are connected to one thin film transistor (TFT), and the thin film transistors (TFTs) for respectively realizing red, green, blue, and black (RGBK) colors constitute one unit pixel. According to the present invention, when the rotatable balls exhibiting each of the RGBK colors are connected in two or more and simultaneously driven within one unit pixel, the pixel electrodes are made to be large and connected to one TFT. As a result, the number of TFTs can be decreased even though a large-area display is manufactured, and the volume of module can be minimized.

A relay node included in the communication system may generate a relay packet by applying a network coding scheme to a hierarchically modulated source packet and to a destination packet received from a destination node. The relay packet is transmitted to a source node and a destination node, and the source node and the destination node may extract a desired packet from a relay packet. The communication system also may adaptively determine an optimal communication mode.
