The light guiding plate has a light incident surface, a light reflection surface having a plurality of dots for diffusing and reflecting the light emitted from the light incident surface and a light output surface having a predetermined roughness and further diffusing the light diffused and reflected by the light reflection surface. The light guide plate includes side surfaces, a light exiting surface and a light reflecting surface. The light exiting surface has a plurality of luminance-compensating patterns. The light reflecting surface faces the light exiting surface. The first light enters into the light guide plate via the light incident surface to form a second light. The second light is reflected on the light reflecting surface toward the light exiting surface to form a third light. The third light exits from the light guide plate via the light exiting surface. The luminance-compensating patterns uniformize a luminance of the third light. A thickness of the light guide plate decreases in a direction from the light incident surface to a center of the light guide plate.

The lamp assembly includes a lamp for emitting a light and a lamp holder for receiving one end of the lamp and for emitting a portion of the light emitted from the end of the lamp. The lamp holder has a transparent or semi-transparent material. The backlight assembly includes a light guiding plate for guiding the light emitted from the lamp and the lamp holder and for emitting the guided light and a receiving container for receiving the lamp assembly and the light guiding plate. Accordingly, the dark portion corresponding to the electrodes of the lamp may be reduced and brightness of the backlight assembly may be enhanced.

    摘要: In a lamp and method for fabricating the same, an outer surface of the lamp tube is dipped into a conductive transparent solution for forming an electrode by a predetermined depth, and then the lamp tube is pulled out from the solution. Accordingly, an electrode having different profiles is formed on the outer surface of the tube body. Also, the outer surface of the lamp tube is dipped into the solution by an acute angle, and is pulled out from the solution. Therefore, a problem of a nonuniform brightness between lamps is not generated, and light utilization efficiency is much enhanced even when using a plurality of lamp in parallel connected to a power supply.

    摘要: A backlight assembly includes a light guide plate including a light incident face, a light exiting face extended from one end portion of the light incident face, and a reflection face extended from another end portion of the light incident face. The reflection face includes a first reflection face extended from another end portion of the light incident face, and a second reflection face horizontally extended from the first reflection face. The backlight assembly additionally includes a light adsorption member disposed adjacent to the reflection face to prevent the light from reflecting. A reflection plate and optical sheets are disposed adjacent to the light guide plate, so that entire thickness of the backlight assembly is reduced. In addition, leakage of the light incident around the third light exiting face is prevented to improve the quality of the image displayed through the LCD device.

The light reflection pattern includes multiple dots each having a prim pattern on their surface and light reflecting surfaces elongated in a selected direction. The adjacent light reflecting surfaces meet each other at their elongated edges to form a prism shape.

A first resin layer is formed on the light emitting surface and a light diffusing pattern is uniformly formed on the first resin layer so as to diffuse a first light and emit a second light. Accordingly, the LCD apparatus can improve display quality and can be fabricated in low-cost manufacture. Also, since the light diffusing pattern is formed with a curable material, the light diffusing pattern can have various shapes and superior reproducibility.
