    摘要: In a wireless communication system provided with a WAP (wireless application protocol) server which can convert different data and protocols into available data and protocols between the wireless communication system and an Internet server, a method of designating a WAP server address and a wireless communication system are disclosed. The method includes the steps of deciding via a switching system whether the registered position of the wireless communication terminal which requests the registration is changed to another registered position after confirming via the switching system whether the wireless communication terminal is eligible when a wireless communication terminal requests a registration; and answering the registration request and simultaneously transferring the address information of a corresponding WAP server via the switching system to the wireless communication terminal when the registered position of the wireless communication terminal is not changed in the above step, and answering the registration request and simultaneously transferring the address information of a corresponding WAP server via the switching system to the wireless communication terminal when the registered position of the wireless communication terminal is changed in the above step. Consequently, there is an advantage in which, according to the movement of the wireless communication terminal, a corresponding WAP server address is automatically transferred to the wireless communication terminal. The wireless communication system is provided with a WAP server which can convert different data and protocols into available data and protocols between the wireless communication system and an Internet server.

The data communications device includes: a plurality of WAP terminals each having a protocol stack in which a Circuit Switch Data service (CSD) protocol layer is laid under a Wireless Transaction Protocol (WTP) layer and a Wireless Datagram Protocol (WDP) layer, for generating WAP data which is service request data; a plurality of WAP servers each having a protocol stack in which a Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) layer and an Internet Protocol (IP) layer are laid under a WTP layer and a WDP layer, for providing the WAP terminals with WAP server data according to the WAP data; and an interworking function (IWF) unit having a CSD protocol layer connected to the CSD protocol layers of each WAP terminal, and a TCP layer and an IP layer which are connected to the TCP and IP layers of each WAP server, for mapping the WAP terminals to the corresponding WAP servers, wherein each WAP terminal communicates with the IWF unit though a single Internet Protocol/Peer-to-Peer Protocol (IP/PPP) layer included in its own CSD protocol layer, and the IWF unit communicates through the Internet with each WAP server. Because there is no redundancy of IP/PPP protocol layers in the WAP terminal, overhead is considerably reduced. Also, the IWF unit is directly connected through the Internet to the WAP server, not through the PSTN and the ISP, so that connection time and costs can be reduced.

    摘要: A method for protecting data stored in a lost mobile terminal and a recording medium for storing the data are provided. In the method, a user who has lost the mobile terminal transmits protection control information to the lost mobile terminal, using a communication apparatus. The lost mobile terminal receives and discriminates the protection control information. User identifying information, which is included in the protection control information, is compared with information which is previously stored in the lost mobile terminal. When the user identifying information is identical to the information previously stored in the lost mobile terminal, the data which is stored in the lost mobile terminal is processed according to the user's data protection request which is included in the protection control information.

    摘要: A wireless data transport method, and a mobile terminal and an interworking function (IWF) device therefor. In the wireless data transport method performed using a mobile terminal, an IWF device and a server, a dialing is performed in the mobile terminal using a predetermined command with an identifier including an IP (Internet Protocol) address, and then RLP (Radio Link Protocol) between the mobile terminal and the IWF device is synchronized to establish a circuit-switched data (CSD) channel according to the command. Then, PPP (Point-to-Point Protocol)/TCP (Transmission Control Protocol) is performed in the IWF device according to the identifier, and a network interface channel is then opened by an AT (ATtention) processing unit of the IWF device according to the IP address of the identifier. Therefore, the mobile terminal can be connected directly to a network interface which is an Internet connect port, using a CSD channel which is preferred by network service providers, not using a modem.
