摘要: A sensor device is removably attachable to a drug delivery device. The sensor device comprises an array of optical sensors arranged within the sensor device such that, when the sensor device is attached to the drug delivery device, which has a first movable element configured to move along a path parallel to the longitudinal axis of the drug delivery device, each optical sensor is operable to detect light received at different locations along the path and to output a signal indicative of an amount of detected light. Circuitry is configured to receive the signals output from the optical sensors and, based on the received signals, determine information associated with a location along the path of the first movable element.

摘要: A drug delivery device, comprises a housing having a longitudinal axis; an axially moveable component that is moveable along the longitudinal axis between a dose dialing position and a dose delivery position when a user operates the device to deliver a dose of drug; an encoder sleeve; an encoder pattern provided on the encoder sleeve, the encoder pattern comprising relatively conductive portions and relatively non-conductive portions that together comprise coded information; a contact-supporting component; and plural electrical contacts provided on the contact-supporting component. The plural electrical contacts contact the encoder pattern when the dose delivery button is in the dose dialing position and wherein the device is configured to move the contact-supporting component relative to the encoder sleeve as the axially moveable component moves from the dose dialing position to the dose delivery position such as to move the electrical contacts into positions where they do not contact the encoder pattern.

摘要: This disclosure refers to a dosing mechanism for use in a drug delivery device implementing a dialing mode and a dispensing mode, wherein the dosing mechanism comprises a dose button, a housing and a determination unit. The dose button is activatable by the user for dose dispense, causing displacement of an indicating element connected to the housing from a first position to a second position. The determination unit is adapted such that it detects the indicating element in its second position and thereby determines that the dosing mechanism is in the dispensing mode. With some embodiments, it is possible to distinguish between the dialing mode and the dispensing mode. Some embodiments further refer to a drug delivery device comprising the above dosing mechanism.

The sensing arrangement is configured such that, when the sensor device is attached to the drug delivery device, the sensing arrangement is operable to read encoded information present on a rotatable component internal to the drug delivery device and that is able to be sensed through a window or aperture of the drug delivery device, and is operable to sense through the window or aperture at least a part of a drive mechanism of the drug delivery device. The circuitry is configured to determine information relating to a set dose, and to determine information relating to whether the drug delivery device is in a dose setting mode or whether the device is in a dose delivery mode.

A secondary drive sleeve (24) is configured to rotate and to engage the clutch (49), wherein the clutch (49) is configured to transfer rotation to the secondary drive sleeve (24) when the selection switch (48) is moved from the first position into the second position and to disengage from the secondary drive sleeve (24) when the selection switch (48) is moved from the first into the third position.
