Abstract:
A BD-ROM on which an AVClip and a Java™ application are recorded. The AVClip includes a video stream and an audio stream multiplexed therein. On the BD-ROM recorded further are management information and the Mixing_On flag corresponding to the management information. The management information indicates a playback control of the AVClip that is to be played back when the Java™ application is executed. The Mixing_On flag indicates whether or not when a user performs an operation on the Java™ application being executed while the AVClip is under the playback control, mixing of the click sound with an audio output of the AVClip is available.
Abstract:
A packaging machine includes a cutting device having a configuration wherein a pressing member provided in one jaw of a pair of sealing jaws that come into contact with each other on both sides of a cylindrical film comes into contact under pressure with a receiving member provided in the other jaw, whereby the cylindrical film being sealed by the sealing jaws is melted. The packaging machine also includes a cylinder for switching the pressing member in contact position under pressure with the receiving member or in non-contact position when the sealing jaws are in mutual contact, and a toggling mechanism configured with a cylinder rod and links. When the pressing member is brought into the contact position under pressure, the links of the toggling mechanism secure the pressing member from behind.

Abstract:
The broadcast recording and reproduction apparatus 1300 which limits loss of content to a minimum includes: a recording generation unit 2801 which records data included in a broadcast signal into a unit-region; a volume remainder detection unit 2813 which detects the remaining capacity, within the unit-region, that can be recorded into; a volume remainder insufficiency sensing unit 2802 which senses that the remaining capacity goes below a predetermined capacity; a remainder insufficiency handler which is called when it is sensed that the remaining capacity goes below the predetermined capacity; and a remainder insufficiency handler registration unit 3301 which registers the remainder insufficiency handler. The remainder insufficiency handler registered in the remainder insufficiency handler registration unit 3301 is called.
Abstract:
A recording and reproduction apparatus shifts a program which is currently being executed to a paused state, or temporarily shifts a mode of graphics drawing by an application program to an invisible mode, in order to reproduce a recorded video with trick play functionality at a reproduction speed different from a normal reproduction speed, thereby making it possible to prevent an unexpected behavior of the program even when an application program is executing a time-consuming process.
Abstract:
There are provided a crank angle detection means configured in such a way as to have a function of outputting respective recognition signals from a plurality of intermediate positions each flanked with the positions corresponding to the respective top dead centers of the pistons of a plurality of cylinders and to differentiate the kinds of the respective recognition signals outputted from the adjacent intermediate positions; and a piston position determination means that determines the stopping position of the piston at a time when the internal combustion engine stops, based on the crank angle range stored in a crank angle range storage means and the crank angle corresponding to the position of the recognition signal outputted by the crank angle detection means. There is determined the cylinder to which a fuel is to be initially supplied when the internal combustion engine restarts, based on the stopping position of the piston determined by the piston position determination means.
Abstract:
A playback apparatus has a platform 1410 that is a program execution environment of an application 1400. When the platform 1410 initiates the application 1400, a graphics information transmission unit 1403, which corresponds to an API function, obtains graphics information and stores the graphics information in a graphics information storage unit 1413. A graphics information control unit 1414 selects graphics information to be rendered, based on a stream event obtained by a stream event reception unit 1416 and the graphics information stored in the graphics information storage unit 1413. The graphics information control unit 1414 has a graphics rendition unit 1415 render the selected graphics with a video playback timing relating to the stream event.
Abstract:
Under a resource manager, unexpected blocking is prevented without calling a handler for resolving a resource contention, by assigning a priority level depending on the program that has requested for a reservation of a resource as well as by assigning a special priority level which permits a reservation of a resource without any conditions in the case of a program which is urgently needed such as an EAS module.
Abstract:
A playback apparatus and method that executes an application while playing back a digital stream. A mixer is configured to, when a flag included in a playlist is set to ON, mix an output of a click sound using sound data with an audio output of the digital stream when a user performs an operation on an application while the application is executed. When the flag is set to OFF, the mixer refrains from mixing the output of the click sound with the audio output.
