摘要: An image recording apparatus includes a conveyance unit which includes a conveyance belt and an air suction unit for sucking air through the conveyance belt to adsorb a recording medium onto the conveyance belt. A recording head ejects ink to carry out recording on the recording medium conveyed by the conveyance unit. An adsorption force adjusting unit adjusts the adsorption force for the recording medium on the conveyance belt, which occurs by sucking air, according to the size of the recording medium.

摘要: The image forming apparatus includes an upstream side chamber arranged further on an upstream side with respect to an ink flowing direction than a head in a circulating path and configured to temporarily store the ejection liquid that should be supplied to the head through the circulating path, a downstream side chamber arranged further on a downstream side than the head and further on the upstream side than the upstream side chamber in the circulating path and configured to temporarily store the ejection liquid collected from the head, and a pressure-difference adjusting mechanism configured to form a first pressure state in which the pressure in the downstream side chamber is lower than the pressure in the upstream side chamber and the head and a second pressure state in which the pressure in the upstream side chamber is lower than the pressure in the downstream side chamber.

摘要: The present invention provides, in an image forming apparatus configured to form an image on a recording medium with ejection liquids ejected from plural heads, a technique for enabling easy positioning of the respective plural heads. The image forming apparatus includes: plural heads including a reference head having a positioned section and configured to respectively eject ejection liquids onto a recording medium; a head base having plural head positioning sections on which the plural heads are respectively mounted to be positioned, whereon a reference-head positioning section on which the reference head should be mounted in cooperation with the positioned section of the reference head performs positioning at a degree of freedom of position adjustment lower than that of the other head positioning sections; and a conveying unit configured to convey the recording medium to a position opposed to the head base.

摘要: An image forming apparatus includes a conveying path that continues to a paper feeding unit and a paper discharge unit, a conveying mechanism that conveys a sheet along the conveying path, plural liquid ejecting heads that eject liquid onto the sheet conveyed on the conveying path, a sensor that is provided in a position between the plural liquid ejecting heads and the paper discharge unit and measures the glossiness of the sheet on which the liquid is ejected, and a control mechanism that compares the glossiness of the sheet immediately after the liquid is ejected and the glossiness measured by the sensor to calculate drying time of the liquid and controls conveying speed of the conveying mechanism to equalize conveying time for the sheet from the plural liquid ejecting heads to the paper discharge unit with the drying time.
