摘要: Fluids injected into a carbonate reservoir formation during Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) may include a foaming mixture that includes a zwitterionic surfactant, an omega-3-acid ethyl ester, and aqueous salt solution. The omega-3-acid ethyl ester may include eicosapentaenoic acid ethyl ester, docosahexaenoic acid ethyl ester, or combinations thereof. The foaming mixtures may be incorporated into methods for enhancing hydrocarbon recovery in a carbonate reservoir formation. The methods may include introducing the foaming mixture to the carbonate reservoir formation such that any hydrocarbon present in the carbonate reservoir formation is displaced by the foaming mixture and is recoverable from the carbonate reservoir formation.

摘要: A power generation system includes a hydrogen sulfide separator, a hydrocarbon fractionator, a hydrogen sulfide processor, a methane processor, and a hydrogen power generator. The hydrogen sulfide separator separates a gaseous flowback stream into a stream including hydrogen sulfide and a stream including hydrocarbons. The hydrocarbon fractionator fractionates hydrocarbons into methane, ethane and natural gas. The hydrogen sulfide processor converts hydrogen sulfide into hydrogen and sulfur, and the methane processor converts methane into hydrogen and carbon. The hydrogen power generator reacts hydrogen with oxygen to generate electricity. A method for generating electricity from a gaseous flowback includes separating a gaseous flowback stream into a stream including hydrogen sulfide and a stream including hydrocarbons, fractionating hydrocarbons into methane, ethane and natural gas, converting hydrogen sulfide into hydrogen and sulfur, converting methane into hydrogen and carbon, and reacting hydrogen with oxygen to generate electricity.

摘要: Systems to produce a pond water, pond water compositions, and methods for using pond water compositions are provided. The system may include a rainwater collection system, a water purification system, a condensate collection system, and a mixing tank configured to receive and mix the various water sources to form a pond water. A system for forming a fracturing fluid is provided, wherein the system may include the system for producing a pond water, an additive feed system, and a mixer configured to receive and mix pond water from the mixing tank with one or more additives from the additive feed system to produce a frac fluid. A method of fracturing a well is also provided, which may include producing a pond water, mixing the pond water with one or more additives to form a frac fluid, and pumping the frac fluid downhole to fracture the well.

摘要: A composition for a fracturing fluid may include a chelating agent, a polymeric gelling agent, and a base fluid. The base fluid in the fracturing fluid composition may be a produced fluid having a hardness content of at least 7,000 ppm. Method for treating a hydrocarbon-bearing formation may include introducing a fracturing fluid in the hydrocarbon-bearing formation. The fracturing fluid contains a chelating agent, a polymeric gelling agent, and a base fluid. The base fluid may be a produced fluid that has a hardness content of at least 7,000 ppm. The fracturing fluid may have a viscosity of at least 200 cp at 150° F., 100 1/s shear rate, and 300 psia when tested using model 5550 HPHT rheometer. After contacting the hydrocarbon-bearing formation, the viscosity of the fracturing fluid may drop near a range of 1 cP to 5 cP.
