Abstract: A pelvis of a person is anchored to a chair structure. A lumbar belt is connected to the chair structure. The lumbar belt wraps around a lower abdominal region of the person to pull into a side of the person in a lateral-to-medial direction so as to move a scoliotic curve in a lumbar or thoracolumbar spinal region of the person toward a non-scoliotic spinal configuration. A lumbar derotator driver is connected to the chair structure. The lumbar derotator driver applies a therapeutic force to a prescribed posterior/lateral side of vertebrae in the lumbar or thoracolumbar spinal region when the lumbar belt is pulled in the lateral-to-medial direction, so as to derotate a scoliotic curve in the lumbar or thoracolumbar spinal region.

Abstract: A scoliosis treatment platform includes a seat and leg structures connected to the seat. The leg structures are configured to support the seat in a substantially horizontal orientation at a vertical position above a base upon which the leg structures are positioned. The scoliosis treatment platform also includes a frame member positioned at a fixed location relative to the seat. The frame member extends upward above the seat. The scoliosis treatment platform also includes an actuator assembly connected to the frame member. The actuator assembly includes a cushion oriented toward a region overlying the seat. The actuator assembly is configured to apply a specified force through the cushion to a specified anatomical portion of a patient when the patient is seated on the seat.

Abstract: A platform supports a person in a supine position. A pelvic restraint secures the person's hips to the platform. A left leg armature is rotatably connected to the platform, with an axis of rotation of the left leg armature positioned at a prescribed distance from an axis of the person's left hip joint when the hips are secured to the platform. The left leg armature lifts the left leg while pushing the left hip into the platform, and maintains extension of the left knee. A right leg armature is rotatably connected to the platform with an axis of rotation of the right leg armature positioned at a prescribed distance from an axis of the person's right hip joint when the hips are secured to the platform. The right leg armature lifts the right leg while pushing the right hip into the platform, and maintains extension of the right knee.

Abstract: A frame includes a front segment extending across an anterior side of a human and a back segment extending across a posterior side of the human in a fixed spatial relationship. A clamp bar extends between the front segment and the back segment to interface with a first lateral side of the human at a location between an ilium bone structure and a thoracic cage of the human. A lateral restraint is positioned between the front segment and the back segment and is configured to interface with a second lateral side of the human over an engagement area corresponding to a portion of the thoracic cage of the human. A downward treatment force is applied to the frame at a location opposite the clamp bar from the lateral restraint. The human works to laterally translate their spinal column toward the lateral restraint to maintain the frame in a near-level orientation.
