Abstract: A locomotion assisting exoskeleton device includes a plurality of braces, including a trunk support for affixing to the part of the torso of a person and leg segment braces each leg segment brace for connecting to a section of a leg of the person. The device further includes at least one motorized joint for connecting two of the braces and for providing relative angular movement between the two braces. The device includes at least one tilt sensor mounted on the exoskeleton device for sensing a tilt of the exoskeleton, and a controller for receiving sensed signals from the tilt sensor and programmed with an algorithm with instructions for actuating the motorized joints in accordance with the sensed signals.

Abstract: Disclosed are a joint manipulation device and system for increasing the range of motion of a joint of a user, and monitoring the compliance of the user's operation of the joint manipulation device to standards or guidelines set by a monitoring entity. Certain sensors associated with the joint manipulation device may cause an indicator to transmit an alert to the user based on whether or not the device is sufficiently engaged with a limb or joint of the user to be considered in compliance. Additionally, progress data associated with the range of motion of the user's joint may be obtained by a sensor assembly and transmitted to one or more systems associated with the device system. Progress data obtained during a period of non-compliant use of the device may be excluded from the transmitted data, thereby generating a set of compliant progress data for accurate analysis of device effectiveness.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for preventing tipping of a walking aid including a sensor configured to detect an angle of tilt in a forward direction of a walking aid, an actuator configured to determine whether the angle of tilt crosses a pre-set threshold, and a retractable support that prevents tipping of the walking aid, wherein the actuator causes the retractable support to extend from the walking aid in the forward direction to limit the tilt of the walking aid when the actuator determines that the angle of tilt crosses the pre-set threshold.

Abstract: An orthopedic technical device having a top part and a bottom part, which are connected to each other by at least one joint device so as to be pivotable about a joint axis, and at least one attachment device with which the orthopedic technical device can be fixed to a limb.
