摘要: A diagnostic system for a crankcase ventilation system of a boosted engine includes a pressure sensor (i) disposed in-line along a make-up air (MUA) hose of the crankcase ventilation system and (ii) configured to measure a pressure in the MUA hose, the MUA hose connecting an induction system of the engine to a crankcase of the engine. The diagnostic system also includes a controller configured to: detect a mild acceleration operating condition of the engine; and in response to detecting the mild acceleration operating condition: obtain a plurality of pressure samples based on the measured pressure by the pressure sensor, compare the plurality of pressure samples to a fault threshold indicative of a disconnected MUA hose, and based on the comparing, generate a fault signal indicative of a disconnected MUA hose.

摘要: In a method, a master cylinder pressure signal, a brake pedal position signal and a brake torque signal provided by an electronic control unit of an anti-lock braking system are rationalized. The master cylinder pressure signal is rationalized against the brake pedal position signal, the brake pedal position signal is rationalized against the master cylinder pressure signal and the brake torque signal is rationalized against the brake pedal position signal. The rationalizations utilize a difference between a maximum value of the signal being rationalized recorded during a maximum value learn period and a minimum value of the signal being rationalized recorded during a minimum value learn period. The rationalization is successful when this difference is greater than a rationalization value.

摘要: Diagnostic systems and methods for a surge valve that selectively bypasses a compressor of a turbocharger of an engine involve receiving, by a controller, a barometric pressure signal indicative of a barometric pressure external to the engine, receiving, by the controller, a throttle inlet pressure (TIP) signal indicative of an air pressure at an inlet of a throttle valve of the engine and downstream from the surge valve and the compressor, and performing, by the controller, a diagnostic technique on the surge valve, the diagnostic technique comprising generating a pressure ratio signal that is a ratio of the TIP signal to the barometric pressure signal, applying a high-pass filter to the pressure ratio signal to obtain a filtered pressure ratio signal, and based on a quantity of detected pulses in the filtered pressure ratio signal that exceed the diagnostic threshold, detecting a malfunction of the surge valve.

摘要: In a method, a brake torque signal provided by an electronic control unit of an anti-lock braking system is validated. The brake torque signal is enabled for use as a brake event input signal upon being successfully validated for diagnostic and control routines of the vehicle that use the brake torque signal as a brake event input signal. If the brake torque signal fails validation, it is disabled for such use. The brake torque signal is validated by first rationalizing a brake pedal position signal and a master cylinder pressure signal. Once the brake pedal position signal is successfully rationalized with the master cylinder pressure signal, the brake pedal position signal is rationalized with the brake torque signal. The brake torque signal is successfully validated when both rationalizations are successful. The validation fails if either rationalization fails.
