Abstract: Systems and methods for identification of a controlled-environment facility resident in possession of a contraband communications device capture or otherwise accept managed access data and/or contraband communications device assessment data for contraband communications devices operating in the controlled-environment facility. Controlled-environment facility resident call data for each resident of the controlled-environment facility is gathered from the controlled-environment facility resident communications system. Correlations in the managed access data and/or assessment data with the controlled-environment facility resident communications system call data are analyzed to identify each resident of the controlled-environment facility in possession of a contraband communications device.

Abstract: A system for contraband device identification and alerting is disclosed. The system comprises a wireless signal detection system configured to identify signals from an unauthorized wireless device, and an alert module configured to generate notifications when an unauthorized wireless device is detected. The unauthorized wireless device is operating within a designated or controlled area. The designated area may overlap a controlled-environment facility and the wireless device is contraband within the controlled-environment facility. The alerting system may include a speaker, wherein the notifications comprise an audible message broadcast via the speaker. The alerting system may include one or more lights, wherein the notifications comprise illuminating the light. The notifications may also comprise one or more of a call, email, audible or visual alert, vibration and text that are sent to a designated individual. The alerting system may also shutdown, lockdown, or lockout the facility an unauthorized device is detected.

Abstract: Systems and methods for creation of a device identity (ID) for mobile communications devices may capture equipment identification information and subscriber identification information for mobile communications devices and combine them to create a device identity for each pairing of equipment identification information and subscriber identification information captured. Such mobile communications devices, may be operating in association with a controlled-environment facility and the equipment identification information and subscriber identification information are captured by a controlled-environment facility mobile communications managed access system (central access point) and/or by a controlled-environment facility contraband mobile communications device assessment system (access point(s)). Thus, the device identity for each pairing of equipment identification information and subscriber identification information may be for mobile communication devices operating in association with the controlled-environment facility, including contraband communications devices operating within the facility.

Abstract: Systems and methods for identifying individuals using contraband communications devices in a controlled-environment facility are disclosed. Wireless communications are intercepted using a plurality of access points positioned at different locations within the controlled-environment facility. All wireless communications are blocked in a first group of locations, and individuals assigned to the first group of locations are identified. Some or all wireless communications are allowed in a second group of locations. Individuals are identified as possible contraband sources if they move from the first group of locations to one of the second group of locations after wireless communications are allowed in the second group of locations.
